  1. I'm not sure. They did a test for Parkinson's and ruled that out. I asked her if it was hereditary and she said the neurologist told her it was from COVID. Edited to add: I live several states away from her and am not able to attend doctor visits with her.
  2. She has seen a neurologist and was told it was from COVID. As far as I know she had COVID in early 2020, but she has recently had her booster. She is fully vaccinated. Could it be a side effect of the most recent shot or is it possible for the tremors to show up 2 years later? I am not trying to start a debate about whether or not she should be vaccinated. Obviously, she has been fully vaccinated and will continue to get boosters if needed.
  3. This reminds me of a meal plan system I once purchased. The e-book had tons of recipes and a pantry shopping list. To keep the pantry stocked the meal plan instructed you to just replenish supplies on the shopping list, then you had whatever you needed to make anything in the book. It was genius.
  4. It is life changing! I just starting doing this too. Much less stress! Keeping the gas tank above 1/2 a tank. Not only is it better for the car, it is much less stress. Once we had to outrun a tornado and realized mid-trip that our gas tank was low. All gas stations near us were full or having issues.
  5. I've had it on my maybe watch list. Does anyone know how accurate it is?
  6. I sent you a friend request.
  7. Quoting because I planned to post similar. You can add very little meat to chili and even the meat eaters think they've scored. Dress it up with a little shredded cheese, chopped onion and sour cream for garnish. Our favorite budget meals are Salmon patties with fried potatoes and sautéed spinach, Kielbasa with sautéed sour kraut and mustard, taco stacks, burrito bowls, tuna salad, Shepherd's pie, Chili with lots of beans served over rice, soup, crockpot fried rice (recipe from Crockpot365), Spaghetti bolognese and salad which can be easily done with brown rice pasta. Once a week have a clean-out-the-fridge soup day or individual pick-and-choose meals from the available leftovers. My kids love being able to choose weird combinations on those days. Rubber chicken, named because it stretches like rubber. Roast a chicken or two in the oven with root vegetables. Day 1: Roast chicken and vegetables. Day 2: Use leftovers to make chicken and rice with a side salad. Day 3: Boil the carcass with all of the leftover vegetable scraps and a touch of vinegar to leach the marrow from the bones. Pick the bones clean and turn the homemade chicken stock and chicken bits into a chicken soup. If necessary to make a simple meal look better to big eaters add a garnish or pickles to the side. Quoting, because I was going to post similar.
  8. All I can think of is the escape room movie. Minos Escape rooms.
  9. This. Have there been an efforts to save these poor children? Is it possible to even find or identify them?
  10. Phone charger Hot hands hand warmers Knit cap and gloves Pocket games or puzzles t-shirt with a clever saying Shave kit and toiletry items
  11. Precious moments figurine? Several years ago a friend of mine lost her child and I wasn't able to attend the funeral because of it being out of state coupled with a freak winter ice storm. When I called the florist to inquire they recommended the figurine. Many years later friend said she still treasures the figurine.
  12. Yep! I can't imagine if the HVAC went out!! No way to get any ventilation! Yes! Natural lighting is crucial and access to fresh air is a necessity!
  13. According to this video by Reuters the gun was declared safe or "cold" before being handed to Baldwin.
  14. John Schneider talks about why there should never be a loaded gun on set. Skip to 2:21 to hear the discussion.
  15. I think it affects each person differently regardless of gender.
  16. Apparently it had a live bullet inside. How is this possible? https://www.yahoo.com/now/prop-gun-fired-alec-baldwin-170000901.html
  17. We are fortunate enough to have a couple of versatile rooms where we can vary our furniture arrangement. Right now our dining room is the room you first enter in our home and our living area connects to it. Those are the rooms we spend the most time in. School is done in both rooms simultaneously, but most of our leisure time is spent in the main living space. Dh purchased a projector and screen, which we attached to the ceiling. We use it to connect our computers when watching a streaming service. This setup allows us to retract the screen and stow the projector to have a tv-less space when desired, like during family game night or when company is over. Our home has another room which is the true dining room, but we've converted it into a home library and where we've chosen to place our piano. It's a nice extra space. The kids like using this room to play the piano, read or do school work away from their siblings, but still prefer the main living area. To answer your question, yes, I do think a more comfortable couch and reading lights might help. Amazon has some affordable fold up chairs that look like dining chairs and would be a good transitional choice while you decide if you want to purchase a couch or other seating.
  18. She has a very informative channel. Unfortunately, we have family members who have been incarcerated multiple times. Jessica's channel has given me insight into both the jail and prison systems.
  19. MDF is unacceptable. Freaking out with you. Keep after them.
  20. We use it and like it. I don't like the switch they made from encouraging you to get a month ahead on your finances. The software is still set up to show the age of your money, but the interdictory videos don't explain this feature as well.
