I do a limited amount on a locked down facebook account. We have extended family that would never see my children if it weren't for that account. My main reason for not posting is extended family that I'd rather not know what we are up to any given day.

We tried it twice and it didn't fit well with our family. Omnibus introduces material before I feel is appropriate. Also, I am no prude, but there is quite a bit of nudity. Quite a bit!

I must run in completely different circles, because I do not know anybody, woman or man, who is drinking heavily. All my female friends abstained during pregnancy.
This.

A close relative of ours has been visiting regularly and gifting us food. The foods in question vary from canned to boxed to refrigerated to frozen. The problem is the frozen foods are often pre-frozen in their original Styrofoam containers and freezer burnt, the refrigerated foods are either partially used or out of date, and the homemade "chicken broth" bags come pre-frozen, etc. I often toss most of what is gifted and it creates more work. While I greatly appreciate the thought behind the gifts, I want to limit the unsolicited gifts without hurting feelings. Is there a way to do this?

Um.... how would they know you had the cup on? It’s not like silicone is highly visible on scans or anything.
It’s really NBD. I do like to have a backup pad on so I don’t have to get up and try and empty it while on the flight.
That is my concern. I would be horrified if the cup showed up on the scan and I was taken to another room for further examination. Fortunately, our flights are fairly short (2ish hours each) and this isn't a heavy day, so I could avoid emptying them for the duration of the flights and possibly the airport.

Theoretically, if one were to fly while wearing one's menstrual cup, what would happen? Would one be subject to extra screening? Asking for a friend. ;)

Some laundry mats will wash, dry and hang for you for a small price. You just drop and schedule a time to pick up and pay. No, it might not be cost effective for a mid-sized family's week's worth of laundry, but it could get you out of a tight spot. Or be worth it for a smaller, mid-week load.

Chx pot pie ***everyone's favorite here
Shepherd's pie (with beef and lamb)
Lentil soup - mine has bacon, sherry and cream
Chx enchiladas
Beef stew
Clam chowder
Corn chowder
Tomato soup (homemade)and grilled cheese
Mac and cheese
Chicken pot pie & biscuits
Chili
Vegetable beef soup
Beans & cornbread (pinto beans or white beans)
Loaded potato soup
Spaghetti
One easy one my kids like now is Smoked Sausage sliced and cooked with onions. Then served with Velveeta Mac and Cheese made in the instant pot. Serve with a steamed veggie.
We also do chili in the crock pot quite often.
Pot roast
Meat loaf
Stews
Chicken pot pie
Corned beef around St Patrick's Day
Shepherds pie
My favorites are foods that require long cooking in the oven, veggies as well as meats. Red cabbage with apples is my favorite. I am hoping the kids will eventually like it....
Based on a recommendation on this board, I am going to try sauerbraten, have never cooked it before.
These ideas are all so good!! I'm stealing for my next menu!!

If you think she might like to choose her own you might try https://www.bookofthemonth.com/ We are giving our 18 yo dd a 3 month subscription for Christmas. Right now they are offering a free bonus month for the gift giver, so you would get a bonus book for you.

Breakfast and junk foods. Could be mini cereal boxes, fruit snacks, cheese and crackers, round bottle of water or soda pop, etc.
A toothbrush and toiletry items like a unisex manicure set.
Small non junky items. It varies year to year.
Chocolates and gum or mints.

No wrapping here. We include Christmas breakfast junk like mini cereal boxes, fruit, granola bars, etc. It seems silly to wrap those. Also, I have 9 children and the time wrapping would be absurd! It is already a challenge wrapping regular presents for immediate and extended family.

This sounds like a great stocking stuffer. I have never seen or heard of these before. Could you give me a heads-up where I could find them?
Thanks,
Myra
They have these in bins and end caps at Wal-Mart.

I just read this entire thread and it is hard for me to believe this is a real belief. So this really isn't a group of internet trolls!? Wow! Just wow!

(not dh!) that lives with us and continually uses a specific product in which I am allergic?

Is he getting enough sunlight for Vitamin D? Could he be depressed? Is he drinking enough water? I know you said nothing showed up on tests, but have you heard of hemochromotosis. It is high iron, but can register as low iron anemia on tests. The only way to determine for sure is a certain DNA test, but you can look up the symptoms. The best thing for someone with this disorder is to give blood or have semi-regular dialysis; both can make one feel instantly better. It is much more symptomatic in males than females for obvious reasons.

Not vegan here, but we gave up dairy as a family for a while after a kiddo was diagnosed with food allergies. We found Daiya cheese to be a pretty good substitute for regular cheese.

I don't want to derail the awesome subscription threads that are currently on the board, so here we go. A subscription box would be a great Christmas gift idea, but I don't like the idea of being locked into a monthly service for so many people. Do you know of any box subscriptions that could be pre-paid, say, for 3 months then could be dropped?

I can't be the only one, can I?
I have a fear that someone will poison my drink in a public parking lot. My thought process goes something like this: I leave the house with all of my kiddos in tow with the prerequisite bottle of water to accompany me during my errands. Of course, when I run into the grocery or box store the water must be left behind in the 12 passenger van because who brings a half-dozen kids or more AND a water bottle into a store. When we all arrive back at the van after shopping and get buckled up, I can not bring myself to drink my water. What if someone has followed me, broken into said van, and POISONED the water while I was shopping!? Thinking it through and typing it out, it sounds completely ludicrous. If someone was following around a middle aged momma with several kids in tow, I doubt the last thing they would do would be to sneak into the mega-van and poison bottled water, but ,alas, I worry about it every time.

I haven't read the thread and honestly don't really know what this is about, but I always have one question when encountering the mass poisoning arguments. If government is mass poisoning the population at large wouldn't they by default be poisoning themselves at the same time?
