  1. We also ordered from Amazon and my daughters assembled it without assistance.
  2. :grouphug: and WOW. I'm hoping that you can give yourself some time to adjust and "deschool." Congrats and :grouphug:
  3. It is kind of confusing but if you have any questions, contact John Zimmerman (the developer). He is really kind and supportive. It is really important to him that the kids do well and have a firm understanding of the course material.
  4. Thanks to both of you! Now I have something to research after dinner :) I really appreciate the help.
  5. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm in the last weeks of planning school (my girls will be in 12,11,10 and 8th grades) when I became painfully aware that my youngest has NO sense of geography. State capitols, location of countries etc. I'm hoping to find a program that will address this that I can add to your schedule. Does anyone have any recommendations? I can't let her start high school next year with this gap. I've been so busy planning high school and waited until last because I thought that 8th grade was ready to go (she's my fifth 8th grader). Sigh..Taking deep breaths and trying not to panic.
  6. Thank you for this. Up late processing the news (WHY can't I tear myself away?).
  7. I've had three complete TC Pre-Algebra and one taking it now. What has worked for us is encouraging them to complete one lesson a day but writing it in the planning book AFTER it is complete. Some of the lessons are longer than others but it all averages out. TC has really prepared them for higher level maths (Pre-Calculus, Calculus etc. ). Have a great year!!
  8. HOORAY!!!!!! So glad that your little guy is here!!!! Please post pics when you have a chance (some of us are currently baby deprived and waiting and waiting for grandchildren. LOL. ...it comes quicker than you think!). Congrats again. So glad your baby is in your arms.
  9. Hugs and prayers for you and the baby. Can you believe that you'll be holding your beautiful baby soon? And OOOOH...the newborn baby smell. Hang in there. :grouphug:
  10. We've used Tabletclass for Algebra with 4 of my daughters successfully. I'd recommend checking it out!
  11. Hugs (and tired here too!). I'm 53 and on the verge of starting my 20th year homeschooling. Over the past few years, I've really scaled back on our outside commitments (sans an activity which requires 24 hours a week from two of my children who can drive themselves). While I've found it freeing to have more time, I've also found it very isolating. Sending hugs and well wishes that you find a good balance that works for you.
  12. Sending prayers and hoping that you feel a sense of peace.
  13. :grouphug: :grouphug: Thank you for trying. :grouphug: :grouphug:
  14. So relieved that she was found. Hugs and hoping that you've had a nice drink of wine or...something stronger. I hate dementia....Sigh...Hugs.
  15. OMGOSH...too. much. cute. Swooning...
