  1. Oh lucky you!!! He's gorgeous! Joining in with the "wouldn't isolate" crowd. It might take a little bit longer for him to feel comfortable but he'll be happier during the process (and so will all of you!).
  2. I've been thinking about you and Benny and am grateful that someone started this thread.
  3. I LOVE this thread. I really needed a smile this evening and this fit. the. bill. It's culinary nature was informative and intriguing. Thanks so much for asking such a relevant and necessary question and to all of you with fancy answers...YOWSA! YOU ROCK!!!!
  4. Has anyone actually purchased an art subscription box for a teen? I've seen a few Online but I'd love something recommended by the Hive. Thanks so much in advance.
  5. My first homeschool graduate is starting graduate school in Ashburn, VA. Is anyone very familiar with this area? I have a few “Mom type questions†and would be very grateful for any assistance. Thanks in advance!!
  6. I always include a 20% tip with my payment. Dog grooming isn't an easy job.
  7. I'm so sorry. Sending a hug and wishing that you get to make more memories with your father. Hugs .
  8. My heart just hurt reading the news this morning . Praying for all the families and victims and those treating them. So much hate...Hug your loved ones, hold them close and perhaps extend a little extra kindness toward everyone else.
  9. MAC, Kat Von D, Venti Beauty and NARS are suggestions from my very fair daughter.
  10. Oldest dd really wanted to go into Child Advocacy (Family Law). She would have been unable to pay her student loans on a typical salary. Law school is pricey. Obviously, some types are much more financially rewarding than others. Dd is very pragmatic and decided NOT to go to law school.
  11. Oh my gosh! In the almost two decades I have been reading posts here, rarely has a post caused me to laugh so heartily. You folks ROCK. I know of no other place where there is such a wealth of information on...EVERYTHING. Ethel, if I could like your posts 100 times I would.
  12. Stupid question here...My sister and my oldest daughter moved to Florida this year. My daughter left last night, drove through the hellacious traffic to Atlanta with her dog and cat. My sister isn't leaving. Voluntary evacuations begin tomorrow morning and she is in the red zone. If she loses power (which the other side of her town has flooded twice in the past few weeks so I'm quite sure they will easily flood again), HOW will we know if she's ok?Is there some course of action I should establish with her? Thanks for any assistance (please be gentle, I'm exhausted from keeping dd company on the phone last night as she drove through the night, over 24 hours awake).

:grouphug: Glad there are no kidney stones. My husband had similar symptoms with a lot of white blood cells and it turned out to be a deep tissue infection which required several months of treatment (meds and supplements). It wasn't a bad scary thing, Hoping that your husband feels better soon!!!
  14. Thank you so much everyone!!! I'm excited to explore Geography with my 8th grader and really appreciate your help!!!!!
  15. I'm so very sorry. :grouphug: :grouphug:
