  1. I have used Miquon for years and never knew of these:thumbup1:
  2. I tried the DVD:( Just couldn't get into it. Has anyone used Ecce Romani? I would like some thoughts on this.
  3. Do you care to ask him some tips and let us know? I'd appreciate it so much:)
  4. I wanted to deny it, but in all honesty my kids sing off tune. I've always loved music, sang in the church choir, played a few instruments and have always sung to the radio with them and sang them lullabies as babies. So where did I go wrong and can I get them singing on key? I'm not an expert at all. They like to sing and I notice they sing a few notes right on familiar songs only. My husband and all his family can't sing either. I'm not being mean, they know it:) So I'm willing and hopefully able and want to teach them. Is this possible to correct, even for my 10 and 12 year olds? How do I start? ( I can't remember learning as a kid, but I was in a gifted music class for 6 years) I'm clueless on the vocal teaching. Are there any good curriculums? Is there anything I can do for my baby and 3 year old now to help? I know it's an important time now. Thanks!!!!!
  5. Sorry-the link should be for nathhan.org It's called Straight Talk. We only used book one.
  6. I didn't have to read all the other replies, but I HIGHLY recommend a book from nathhan.org I bought and used with my son with these same issues as the original poster. He is now a very articulate speaker:) The book costs about $50 and was made for homeschoolers. Very easy for the teacher! Not hard for the student! There are rave reviews for it. Using it is SO much cheaper and less of a hassle than using the public school system. Pm me if you need to know more.
  7. Does anyone know of a list or link to where the books in the FIAR series have been put in chronological order? Thanks! I'm thinking of tying these in with our study of American history this year.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions y'all ! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has searched for a funner Latin course:)
  9. Thanks for this info! I'm going to check into both of these. They sound doable for us. BTW, I am in a town north of you also with much civil war heritage:). Never been to your town but would love to someday. We are actually studying the civil war right now!
  10. Me too!!! I have almost every phonics product!!!! I need to sell most of it!
