  1. OP, {{{hugs}}}. I am so sorry, and he sounds stinky, the situation he is putting you in is stinky. Take care of you and the kids, and be the duck....that was really good advice.
  2. thank you for sharing this! I do buy these sometimes, but thankfully the 6 pack I have is not listed!
  3. ha, I told my husband an ice machine would change my life!! looks like we think alike! We have the in-the-door fridge kind, but I would really like one with filtered water. I have been looking at the ones at william sonoma, but yeah, the cost is really high. I was at a house in Tahoe that had an ice maker that I thought was a trash compactor - it was that size and shape and built in to the counter...I would love one of those!!
  4. I want her list of clients and for them to be put away too.

    Crossfit?

I've been going to a CF gym for at least 5 years now and have never been injured there. My only 2 injuries were this year and were from me increasing my running outside of CF...which I've quit (the running) after my 2nd injury. I am older and cautious and lift light and focus on my form rather that weight. There is a component to the workouts that are timed, but really it is your discretion about going slower/ lighter or even quitting half-way through the workout...which I have done, when I felt like my heart was racing too high or it just wasn't feeling right. I think you have to be able to walk a line of pushing yourself but not letting the timing and competition push you or drive you. Maybe my box is unique, but I've never felt pressured and always had coaches back off if I need to go lighter or slower. When I am there, it is me against me- and being older, I really don't want to have to deal with injuries. all that said, I think crossfit can be what you want it/ need it to be. And I do think the varied workouts are great at working muscles I don't really use, wouldn't think about, and I for sure wouldn't be trying to use free weights by myself at a normal gym, but at crossfit I do use them and get help with how to use them. It's been really a good thing for me.
  6. Heart...{{hugs}} I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.
  7. prayers and good thoughts/vibes coming your way! and your ex really is a turd.
  8. {hugs}. I read there is an almost at-cost online pharmacy that Mark Cuban started to help people. Cost Plus Drug co. I haven't had to use it, but maybe they will have what you need.
  9. we will not be watching any of it either, you are not alone.
  10. wow, that is ...something. I remember a few decades ago when moms of kids with autism were being patted on the head by the medical establishment when they kept claiming there was something going on with "gut issues" and that going on limiting diets was helping. Now, decades later, I'm seeing article by the establishment that the gut is indeed tied to immunity. I'm so sorry Caraway, I know how demoralizing it is to feel patronized. hugs. and I hope you find the right doctor.
  11. interesting about the nordic part...I'm part Swedish.
  12. I am diagnosed, first noticed a problem when I was around 15, was diagnosed by a rheumatologist when I had a lupus scare at age 31. I did not have lupus (I had 5th disease at the time with a lupus-like reaction) but she thought she'd be seeing me again... it helps to have the diagnosis when considering migraine medications, and also helps me feel like less of a freak when I can explain I have a medical condition and cannot touch frozen stuff and need a cozy on my iced lattes. My husband also stopped dead-panning, "my gosh woman, are you dead?!" when I get into bed...which hurt my feelings...! My oldest daughter thinks she might have it.
  13. I loved this story! I might have to get my husband a tuxedo when he retires!
  14. yes, we've been doing gifts on New Years eve or New Years day, and it has really made the whole season so much more enjoyable and less stressful. We also only do 3 gifts for each kid (but some small "stocking" type gifts, too.)
  15. 🤣 I have to say I'm a bit in love with the sweet potato....uh, Jorts...!! Our cat has lit his whiskers on fire with a candle. Luckily, we were all there where it happened and put him out right away before he hurt himself or set the house on fire. His whiskers on the left side of his face were all curled by the flames.
  16. I am praying for her. I was judging her for not leaving, but then I read on the reddit thread a poster who was at a marriage retreat with J & A after the Ashley madison stuff came out, and said he witnessed her walking around a pond in the early a.m. sobbing. I really feel for her and how trapped she must of felt having many children. I don't understand why she went on to have more children with him, but I do believe she is brainwashed. I hope she leaves, and I hope her family helps her.
  17. wow! this looks amazing! I think I might buy it for all my kids!
  18. oh goodness, the mug! I'm famous in my house for making a big squack when I have to provide a password. Passwords are my nemesis. I might need this mug 🙂
  19. Yikes! it stinks when someone is spreading lies about your character, but, eventually people will clue in to her off-tilted views on others.
