I'm praying for you guys! ....about the speech to text, my husband uses it all the time because he says it's quicker, no one seems to care or notice when he does it. Maybe ask one of your kids to set it up on your phone, and show you how to use it, and do it from now on in front of your dh, so he will see that no one notices or cares when you do it, and that you don't have to shout or be loud, that it is useful and pretty normal. After seeing you do it a bunch, he might try it. just a thought. and I think his family is crazy, and not compassionate towards you guys.

I've never heard a mean word from my M-I-L, and I can't say that about very many people. She is a gem. She is getting older, and gets flustered... we like to do that quote from Pride & Prejudice when she gets flustered with something not going the way she thinks it should... "I don't see that...why should I see that? why should that be??" I call her "the Queen mum" for that reason.

Miss Julia series by Anne B. Ross , Cat got your diamonds by Julia Chase (Kitty couture series) Horror: not my genre, either...but maybe... "Siren" by Kierra cass (it's actually a young adult book, so not too scary) , The Scorpio races by Maggie Stiefvater (sea horse legend, a bit scary, young adult) Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (not as grusome as the movie, good writing ) Steven King- The DeadZone Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult , has ghosts, mystery and really stayed with me. I don't usually read her, she sticks a knife in your emotions, in my opinion, but I liked this one.

good thinking on your part. as far the pick-up line, could you park a block or two away and walk up to collect dd? I babysat a friends child after school for a while, and I had much better luck parking 2 blocks away and walking up then trying to navigate the crazy-ness of pick-up.

I am so sorry you are being put through witnessing this. You can mute conversations on your phone, where you aren't blocking them and still getting the conversation, but you are not "pinged" every time a new one shows up. Doing this on your phone and DH's might help with your stress level. I've had to do this for family.{sigh} When you are able or curious or feeling strong, you can then go read the messages. thinking of you and sending good thoughts/prayers your way and for your MIL

a few years ago I started making Pioneer woman's stuffing...and it was a religious experience for me. I make it every year, for me. It would be good cooked ahead and reheated, though.
