  1. ha, brings back memories of 10th grade World History- public school.  My teacher was either retiring the end of that year or the next and had no more cares to give. We watched Shogun in class for weeks and ordered pizza a few times a week for a "pizza party" -just not enough times to gain notice from the office. 🤣. We watched something else too, but can't remember at the moment what it was.

  2. the prescription transderm scop patches have changed my life, I can't travel well without them.  My motion sickness is getting worse as I age, I now mostly have to drive a car myself, sometimes I'm ok in the front passenger seat.  I was first prescribed them when I was pregnant with my youngest kid, 21 years ago- for a cruise and it was life-changing.  I was only hoping to survive the cruise without throwing up all the time, but I was able to thoroughly enjoy it and was able to read while on a plane and boat!  They are strong, I can't wear them the whole 3 days, but I usually wear one 24 hrs of a trip and then again on the way home.  The natural things did not work for me, I tried. And dramimine helped a bit, but not totally, I still could not read while on a moving vehicle and had to concentrate on not getting sick, and it would nock me out.

    Victorian guide to time-travel print

Jane Austin of the 80's sticker. cute idea my S-I-L had of historical figures in the 1980s.

  4. hoping for a great job for you!

-just my experience, for what it is worth, but I was working at a preschool as a teacher's aid, and I got on very well with a boy on the spectrum who was there for half day, then was bussed to another care site where he got more aid- so at one point the director asked me to work with him as his special aid, and while I loved him to bits and thought he was a special kid, it became really stressful. I was responsible to keep him safe, and to keep other kids safe from him, and for re-directing him.  It was stressful and physical and I'm just saying that while the RBT jobs tend to list a higher rate, I think the would be very high on burn-out unless you really felt called to it.  Anyways, I'm thinking of you and thinking good thoughts.

  5. congratulations!  I am so happy for you!  As far as crime, maybe looks at some suburbs just outside of NOLA?  I have friends who live in Chalmette (Sp?) and work in Violet.  I don't know if that would be too far for your job location (s) .

There seems to be a grand total of three ceramic themed fiction books available through my library service...

speaking of books, I just read "Perilous Pottery" The Cozy Corgi Mysteries bk11 by Mildrid Abbott and it has a pottery store in it. 🙂  It's a fun series if your library has it.

  7. yeah, we all know none of it works anymore.  We buy the 30mg over the counter and hand over our I.D....or buy the 10mg and swallow3-6 at a time! Also the cold medicines don't work anymore, you have to take it all separately now...a sudafed, bendedril and pain reliever all separate.  It is so infuriating. 😞  We used to reserve niquil for the baddest colds at bedtime, but now it's a waste of money.

  8. have you looked at Edjoin site? It has listings of educational jobs, but they are not all teaching. There are some interesting jobs like office, lunch person, other things you might not have thought of, and they list the needed qualifications.  this was helpful to me when  I was ending my homeschool run and was considering my next move...I was able to go get the certificates needed for the position I was interested in. The site lets you search by area/region.

  9. I was looking to try Clean People laundry detergent, and I guess FB was listening, because I got an ad for a prime deal on it. You have to go to the Clean People site directly and then they have a coupon for free dryer sheets with purchase. There was free shipping too, that was nice.

YES!  We have this here.  I drives me crazy.

yes, one time, my parents, who watched the kids if we went away on a trip, and also had them overnight every Wednesday when they were small...once told me, concernedly, that my kids said they "never to do school work" at home. I replied back, something like, "Funny, the kids tell me that all they do at your house is watch t.v."...which I knew wasn't remotely true, when my kids told me this, my parents did a lot of outside stuff with them.  My parents digested this and didn't bring it up again. 😆
