  1. I like being able to click the blue dot next to the post to go straight to new posts I haven't read on the topic. :)
  2. In "my" library (that I sub at), we collect them and recycle them!!! I haven't heard anything about this changing anytime soon... :001_huh:
  3. WOW and thank you!!! I think I could do that with my stuff - and now I have a great place to start! Thanks. :)
  4. Definitely on a similar schedule, and most definitely interested! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! :D
  5. InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database ;) the library I sub for uses ILLiad as well. But we just call them "ILLs" :001_huh:
  6. Maybe "The Littles" series by John Peterson? I haven't read them, but I've seen them while working in the library ...
  7. Amazon has several nanoblock sets, too. :) I ordered a little white dog set after seeing them in Timberdoodle's catalog ... haven't opened it yet, but I think they are going to be a hit for my lego-loving-boy. :)
  8. well, at least the VISlONlNG® chick is CERIFIED. I'm guessing that's a step or two above certified. :001_huh:
  9. WOW  what a great list! Thank you so much for taking the time to post this! :)
  10. I guess I was more fortunate than I realized - we just joined last summer and got Valley - Mr. Eldon Palmer - we have no complaints at all!!! I haven't minded jumping through a few hoops for all the benefit we receive. :) What *is* annoying me :001_huh: is the social groups still being down! Joann, was it you who posted a link to help interpret the MAP test results? We tested this week but aren't supposed to get "results" until next week, although I did print off the preliminary scores. Would you mind reposting that link here? Thank you!!!! :)
  11. Heidi St. John, speaker, author, and founder of First Class Homeschool Ministries. She lives near Vancouver, WA. Heidi FCHM :)
  12. This had me all confused the other day too. :) In the cloud, you can select the songs (but only one at a time) and then download them to your computer (any computer!). Then you can move them to your ipod. Does that help? :001_huh:
  13. Yes, you can do this. :grouphug: My DH had surgery (robotic prostate removal) last June and it was definitely harder on me emotionally than it was on him. I'll be praying for you AND him and the surgeon ... I remember the agony well. :grouphug:
  14. With both dd and ds, we used Horizons K through 3rd, then moved into Saxon 5/4 seamlessly. Actually ds was bored when we started the second book of Horizons 3, and I moved him then. I never noticed any gaps, and they are in Saxon Algebra I and at Saxon 7/6 now. Hope that helps. :)
  15. I don't know about bed bugs :001_huh: but DH won't go back because he scraped his foot while he was there and it turned into a staph infection. :glare: (HOWEVER, the appt. for the staph infection turned into checking into more stuff which in turn resulted in the discovery that he had prostate cancer ... for which he had surgery and is now cancer-free :D ... so I personally have a great amount of love for GWL. We may not have known until it had progressed farther were it not for that scrape on his foot....)
  16. I'm a library sub and I would definitely care. On top of that, I'd thank you for bringing it to our attention! ;) Not sure if your library does this, but ours has a "Collection Comment Card" available that we are to provide to anyone who expresses why any certain book should or should not be included in the collection. Completed cards are sent to people who matter and care :) at the main office ... so even if the particular librarian you choose to speak to doesn't see it as important it may not matter? I would definitely speak up. (p.s. Do you want to share the title of the book? :001_huh: I'm wondering if we have it!)
