We are hoping for very minimal loans. My oldest will be going to our local state school and living at home. He wants to go into sports broadcasting and he knows he won’t be making a lot of money to be able to pay back loans.
I would say our family is mid-upper middle class and we will not qualify for any need-based aid. In our state, some public universities are $35K a year. We have told our kids that we will not be taking out loans in our names for them. We have a great CC literally across the street from our neighborhood and a great public university within driving distance
I had around $50,000 in loans from undergrad/grad school. I did not manage my money well as a young adult. Thankfully, I met my hubby in my 30s and he helped me figure out how we could pay them off quickly.
I think we have scared the daylights out of our kids regarding loans. We have talked to them many times about loans - and figuring out the best way. For example, if you want to be a teacher, don’t go away to an expensive school. If you want to be an engineer or go into IT, then you may have a little more leeway.

I’m still looking. I like to check Camelcamelcamel to see if the “sale” price is actually a good deal.

Ok, am I the only one who had never heard of a BBA? I've only heard of BA and BS.
Same.

It may also depend on what type of job he’s going to be looking for. Tell him to look up some jobs and see what the degree requirements are.

I have bought several pairs on Etsy. There are soooo many options. Read the descriptions and the reviews carefully and you should be able to find some she would like.

Have you looked at Build Your Library Levels 5 and 6? We did Level 5 a few years ago - I read the books aloud to all the kids - approx. grades 4-8 at the time. It doesn't include worksheets, but it was one of our favorite years of homeschooling!

No, but we used to have a chocolate lab. When I was pregnant with DS, one day the dog was acting weird. I mean, she was a weirdo, but this was extra. Turns out, I went into labor the next day and had DS 4 weeks early.

I'm so glad it went as well as possible. It's so hard to say goodbye. I have a cat now that is 10. I have had many cats in my life, but this one is THE ONE. It will be hard to say goodbye whenever the time comes.

Agree about cayenne. 4T for mega.
salt - I’ll use 1/4 t to start. That gives us 1.5 t for large. For Mega, 12 t or 4T. Same as cayenne. If you wanted to start with the 1/8 t, then 2 T for Mega

The curriculum is only about a year old, so people are probably just now getting to that point. We are using it, and my son said something about the Prager U videos and he said he was just skipping it. I didn’t investigate further, but I should have.
they do respond quickly on their FB groups, so maybe someone is willing to post there?

That I will actually grow edible veggies in the garden I have spent countless hours setting up. Not to mention how much it has all cost.
that I will actually clean out and organize the school room this summer.

Depends on the kid here, too. My current 12 year old - no way. My other 2, when they were 12, sure.

I recently bought this one. Looks like it isn't in stock right now, but maybe that brand has other options? https://www.amazon.com/Pure-Enrichment®-PureReliefTM-InstaHeatTM-Machine-Washable/dp/B07H9BSTXY?th=1

Our old one had the slight texture, our new one doesn’t. Hopefully this will help!!!! Our new one is also a much better quality appliance.

I loved my 20 yo glass top stove, (and the 28 yo one in my old house). They were super easy to clean. My 2yo new one, is horrible. It has a very slight texture to it and it makes everything stick and stay stuck. It has had spots I can’t get clean from the first week I got it. It is so hard to clean , I gave thought about selling it. I have tried every trick out there and nothing works. I miss my old ones so much.
I think this was my issue. Our old one had a slight texture. Plus, I’m not the greatest cleaner - so miss a couple of days and that’s it.

No matter what I tried, I couldn't keep my last glass stovetop clean. I said I wouldn't get another one, but here we are with a brand new one. What's the secret for keeping it clean?????

Would a skilled surgeon be willing to go in and look? My daughters CT didn’t show anything but once the doctor was in there he could see the issues with her elbow.
Same for me, but with my foot. An MRI showed everything looked perfect. But I could barely walk I was in so much pain. My surgeon went in, cleaned out the inflammation, and released some fascia that was too tight.

Another vote for telling security and leaving the area.

I’m wanting to start tracking the weights I’m lifting and exercising each week. Is there a list somewhere of dumbbell (and other) exercises that I could use? I’m envisioning - ok, today is going to be arm day, so I’ll choose Bicep Curls, etc. My gym has free weights, TRX strap, kettlebells, Bosu balls, pretty much all the standard things

I can't imagine how I would feel! But good for you for taking care of this now.

I have a small business doing homeschool consultations and end of the year evaluations. I mostly use a business FB page, but I do have a separate website as well. I only get a few contacts from the website, so I’d love to move to a free or super cheap hosting service. I don’t mind some ads, just as long as they aren’t popping up all over the screen and bothering clients.
Any ideas? I currently use Wix and have one of their premium plans.

Hugs. I totally get it. The other night, we were watching the episode of Schitt’s Creek where the mom says “I’d kill for a good coma right now.” I looked at DH and said that I could relate.
