  1. day 2 yoga challenge Please tell me how you do 70 push ups in a day
  2. I'm gonna try those! I tried the pistol squats the other day but forgot to post. I could do it with my right leg going down and getting up, but I was wobbly on my leg left when I reached the bottom and it was harder standing back up. So I need to work on the left leg. It was fun to try.
  3. Did level 2 of Jillian's Hardbody and yeah it was hard. I guess my muscles were tired from yesterday. I had a hard time forcing my legs to do the pylo moves. Tomorrow will need to be gentle.
  4. Doing the 30 day with Adriene on youtube someone posted earlier. My plan is to do it in evenings. I also want to start the new FB booty boot camp. Plan on starting that next week or perhaps later this week.
  5. Took 3 days off. Don't know why. Saturday I lounged. Yesterday I fanatically cleaned the house. This morning I did Jillian Hard Body
  6. I never got to wait before telling people. I was always way too sick to hide it. I'm talking vomiting non-stop. I'd have to not see anyone in person ever if I wanted to wait to tell. Also, despite the constant vomiting my belly pokes out after I'm about 5 weeks pg, and my hawk eye mom noticed every time. By the time I was 8 weeks I already had a nice pooch and by then other people began to suspect. Pooch belly + green face + throwing up = yeah, I was an open book. I always thought it's be fun to wait until like 20 weeks or so, but there is NO way I could hide a pg that long. I was lucky to make it to 7 weeks my last pg before I had to tell.
  7. Ds is almost done with Foerster algebra. He tolerates it but doesn't like it. We also do Jousting as review because he likes it. Before this he did Right Start (loved it) and MM (tolerated). So suggestions on what to do next?
  8. What next? I haven't even begun to look at options. He loves Jousting (which we have been doing as review since he likes it) and tolerates Foerster. He doesn't like it as he does the flavor of Jousting. Jousting is not textbook dry which for him Foerster is. What do I with him when he's done with Foerster?
  9. Count me for a wish to have a singing voice. If I sounded like Sarah Brightman or Charlotte Church I'd be happy. Also, I wish I could play an instrument and paint.
  10. When he was a baby, I had 2 old women oogling over him in the store. They were both Irish. They said that he was definitely an Irish boy. I laughed and said, "Who knows? He's got genes from all over. He's got German genes for sure." They both looked at me dead serious and said, "This boy is not German. Oh, no. He is Irish through and through. We know an Irish baby when we see one." Well, okey dokey then. I was almost afraid they were going to take him from me. Yes, he is very pale with freckles. Orange hair, orange eyebrows, orange eyelashes. Grey eyes with gold flecks. Doesn't look ANYTHING like his brothers who are darker skinned and have brown hair and brown eyes. Many people don't know he's my son, and some have asked if he's adopted. Poor kid lives in a very sunny and hot climate.
  11. I know women who have shared with me that they terminated pregnancies. Not a single one of them regretted it. They all know that is was the best decision, and they would do it again if they had to go back in time....well, not getting pg would be what they first would have changed. Getting an abortion does not guarantee a sentence to an entire lifetime of regret, sadness, and guilt. It can be, and many times is, a chance to continue on the path the woman wants to be on, or to get off the current path she finds herself on but does not want to be. This is her decision. Like a pp said, the question she needs to answer is does she want to be a mother at this time in her life and does she know what that really means? She can talk to the people at PP. Unlike what many people believe they are not "pro-abortion" and they will support her decision either way. They can answer her questions if she has any. I'm sorry she's facing this but she will make it through :grouphug:
  12. I'm impressed. I also don't know what any of those moves are, but impressed none the less.
  13. Letting my kids watch David Attenborough while I try to find books, not available at my libraries, on the above library sites is totally considered "Teacher Planning" right?
  14. This. Especially if they want to mimic an older sibling. It took my youngest no time before he was a pro on his balance bike.
  15. Haven't heard of The Bluest Eye so I was wondering. Thanks
  16. Depends on who didn't like it and why they didn't like it. Sometimes that tells me enough to know that I will like the book. I also like to support authors who have the guts to write about certain topics. I also like to support authors whose books are challenged or banned due to what I consider to be a ridiculous reason. Maurice Sendak comes to mind. As for books that people do like? Fifty Shades of Grey was/is a hugely popular, successful series, yet you could not PAY me to read those books. I wanted to poke my eyes out when I tired reading the first one. I feel the same way about the Outlander series. These books have been made into movies and TV shows, but I hate those books. With a passion hate them.
  17. Ah, my ginger will be sad. He's got a romantic idea that he is a Celt by blood due to his very orange hair. I thinks he likes the excuse to run around in his underwear with a blue painted body.
  18. Sealants would protect from decay but it won't do anything to help with loss of enamel. Unfortunately enamel develops very young, and from what I understand once the damage is done it's done. Have you spoken to her dentist yet about protective treatment options? My ds has damaged enamel on one tooth. It was caused from undetected decay in the baby tooth and it reached the adult tooth and ruined the enamel. When it grew in a part of it was orange. That piece literally just broke off one day but it wasn't decayed. Right now he has a filling where the tooth broke away. This is his second filling attempt. The first filling fell out because his remaining tooth is not really strong enough to hold it. If this filling fails he will need a crown. Hopefully, she doesn't have celiac. Enamel problems can be caused by other things....even as a fetus. My dentist told me if mom is infected with a certain virus during pg it can hinder enamel development in the fetus. So it may not be due to celiac. Poor little girl. I hope you find the problem and her stomach aches stop.
  19. I'm going to out myself and admit that I have no idea how to tag or what they are for. Last week I read my text book mostly. Got a 98 on my exam so turns out it pays off to read the book. :)
  20. Is it just me or does it seem a bit odd that this mystery happened during our read a mystery month? Conspiracy?
  21. People who threaten (whether in "casual conversation" or not) to do harm to the president of the United States are fully prosecuted. Threatening people is a crime.
