  1. As an aside we’re building urgent care centres in Sask to take the pressure off emergency rooms. https://beta.ctvnews.ca/local/regina/2022/3/31/1_5843609.amp.html
  2. My step-father is like this with everyone except my DH. Even after he lost most of his vision. Like, doesn’t know what street we’re on, but can tell you whether you should be turning right or left. I will commiserate with you. I used to show that it bothered me (with anger, mostly), but it’s not worth it.
  3. I found this review here. You do need to print their paper, but you are not tied to a special screen or notepad. No personal experience with it whatsoever! Neo smartpen pros & cons pros More flexibility with paper types and ink refills Ergonomic design makes the pen easier to grip Easily upload your files to email, social media, or cloud storage cons More expensive than some competitors Less battery life than other brands Doesn't capture audio notes more details Features: 2 color options | 90MB of internal storage | .77 ounces Neo actually produces the technology behind the Moleskine Pen+ Ellipse, but the two smart pens are quite different. We think that the Smartpen N2 is a worthwhile contender if you're looking for a durable pen that's compatible with a range of notebooks, planners, and other paper products. The Smartpen N2 has a small built-in camera near the tip of the pen that reads your handwritten notes and converts them into digital files. Unlike many other smart pen brands, Neo doesn't require you to buy pricey notebooks. Instead, you can download sheets of special Ncode paper from its website for free (including multiple layouts and templates). But if you prefer the feel of a hardcover notebook, you can choose to buy one on the Neo website. At $119, we think that the Smartpen N2 offers solid value for the money -- especially since you don't need to buy tons of expensive notebooks to go with it. Plus, the pen uses standard D1 tips, which are affordable and easy to find.
  4. I guess, ask first, otherwise you’ll never know… Is there another occasion the friends will be with a worker anyway and you could build on that? Does the group home have another outside trip planned, for example? I don’t know, it’s a tough situation…
  5. Ds16 bought a gift card for DS18. He didn’t know he was supposed to get the little receipt in case the card didn’t work. It didn’t. I had him call the bank, they told him exactly when the transaction went through. We went to the store, prepared to ask them to look at camera footage. I explained the situation. The manager ran it through the machine and could tell it had never been activated. Put the money on. We tested it outside the store. I wanted them to be able to look at the cameras in case they suggested he picked up an empty one and was trying to scam them. Which is why I did it instead of him, like I normally would.
  6. I don’t know now! We’re always a 1 whenever I accidentally click there, lol! ETA: After looking, I think that on the watch weather app, it reads 11 instead of 10+?
  7. He usually wears a straight style, nothing skinny touching his legs. He’s definitely not “athletic-cut” like my older DS, who needs more room in the seat and thighs. Hmmm…. I am so sorry those didn’t fit properly. A random person a was talking to a couple of months ago said that in the USA there is a much bigger range of 511s available. We went to an actual 511 store in Las Vegas, but they were ready for summer, I guess, because the only pants they had were the same as our tactical store has here. All that to say, do you have a store that carries 511s nearby that may have a wider variety than we have here? Or maybe all the roomy work pants will be too big in the leg?
  8. It’s been bothering me that my MIL did not send a picture of the flowers I ordered. And now I’m even more concerned! Totally different situation, as there are no eggshells involved. But now I’m worried I wasted money and she’s not going to tell me! Sorry, it your case OP, I wouldn’t mention it, and just say thank you. And have DH express separately how thoughtful it was to send flowers.
  9. I forgot to say, the nice thing about 511s (besides the skinny waist to long leg ratio) is the adjustable waist.
  10. My tall and skinny boy wears 511s, as does DH, and the phone fits.
  11. I’m sorry. Everything still looks so bad. I hope you’re still okay.
  12. Do they have livestock to sort out as well? That’s extra stressful, on top of losing feed!
  13. Should I admit how many times I scrolled past this thread before I was brave enough to open it?
  14. Sigh… “Honey, we’re retiring to New Brunswick!” Doesn't have the ring I’m looking for….
  15. Once again, I don’t know what is wrong with you all…. But I am duly crossing places off the retirement list, as I take a moment to stop complaining about the snow. I assumed balout (?) was a typo - for what I’m not sure - and now I don’t know whether to look or not. Sigh. Is Maine warm enough for retirement?
  16. Oh, I will definitely take my 325 days of sunshine a year… but at least it it looks like Vancouver Island would have RV places open!
  17. Used to be a waaaaaay further north. But alas, unpredictable springs, here we are. It’s just gross today!
  18. I bet Vancouver Island would have longer seasons… For example, this is the first one I found, and appears to be year-round, but maximum stag is 6 months less a day. But I imagine lots of long seasons out there.
  19. Lol, I was assuming it was for the summer…. But it my neck of the woods you wouldn’t have to worry about exceeding 6 months! I mean, it’s the middle of April and I just shovelled a foot of snow, with more on the way!
  20. Is this helpful? There’s also this. And it says the wait for the extension is 173 days right now. So you would have to apply for an extension at pretty much the same time as you arrived. US Citizens are allowed to enter without a visa, but they must still be able to prove they have money to support their stay and that they have a reason (job, etc) to return to the US.
