Oh, it just occurred to me how much easier Christmas cards would be if I actually did them in the summer. I thought maybe you send Christmas cards, and addressing the envelopes, etc, is something you could easily pick up and put down.

Then I will vote based on creepiness, lol. Is the basement a place I would go for any other reason than utilities? Then first choice for me would be side by side in the basement. If the basement creepiness level is anything other than low, I vote for bathroom. The place we had that arrangement, it was on the second floor between bedrooms, so even though there was no room for laundry in the bathroom, it was close by. Although (and I can’t believe I just thought of this) we currently have a side by side on the main floor, there is no room for a laundry pile because of the garage entrance/coat storage. In fact, I would almost prefer it on the other side of that wall, in the half-bath.

Yeah, I’m not going to buy a house where I have to go outside to get to the laundry. And although we have lived in houses with stacked laundry in various places (including a small bathroom), I wouldn’t choose it. Especially if side-by-side wasn’t possible. For example, the previous owners of this house had them stacked, but there was no problem with me putting them side by side. There’s no way to fix the fridge/door problem?

If they normally work for movers, then they will be used to finishing in a day or less! You may need to just stay out of their way, lol, and instead focus on clearly marking what they should not pack!
