Perfect for tweens: Les aventures extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec on Netflix This one has an ancient mummy that comes to life and horrid flying creatures. The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc Sec. Also: La Guerre Des Boutons (the remake from 2011 on Netflix) Some crude language and penis references if I remember correctly. It could be called The Button War on Netflix. La Boom - you could rent this from Amazon. Was a big young teen hit from the 1990s. Google search TF1 then Replay then Informacien then La Meteo for daily videos of news and weather. Let me know what you think! -

Don't Leave Home Without These Books...

I just revisited this list and I am adding "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. It's a dystopian masterpiece. -
I had a rueful LOL when I read your post. PSU. My son was not invited to their "Honors College" even though he had stellar high school resumé. But that's okay he's on scholarship at a top ten now and he had some other great offers on his plate. Good luck to your son. Something great will turn up for him, too.

There are too many bullies in life aren't there? DD16 will be well served to learn how to handle a bully. Bullies look for easy targets not people who defend themselves. I would advise DD16 (and I have done this with my own kids) to directly tell her friend that the comments are mean and hard hearted - even if unintended. DD16 should give the relationship and the humor blog a breather to allow her perspective to sink in to the friend. DD16 has to decide if she wants a close relationship with a frenemy.

:auto: Quick follow up: We ate at Spanky's in Chapel Hill. Pretty good. My husband ate a pulled pork sandwich on a roasted bun with cole slaw. Mmm...too many calories for me, though. Plus two interesting beers. I had a tomato and mozerella salad w/ vinaigrette. Delish. We also ate at the Washington Duke in Durham. We had a shrimp, corn and bacon chowder. I had a petite filet from the children's menu and he had a shrimp, sausage and tomato saute over asiago grits. Super yummy. The house red was very good. We golfed there too. What a lovely course. Then there was Adrianna's on Manteo's waterfront (Outer Banks). Perfect. We had a mushroom and crab chowder and we split a fabulous entree but I can't remember what it was because I'm a functioning amnesiac. You North Carolinians are extremely lucky with such a cool, beautiful state. I'm surprised you don't brag more. -

My sons' have great legs maybe I should suggest kilts to them. When ya got it flaunt it right? When my younger son comes home again we're going to get him fitted for a suit for formals and new dress shoes. He's a tie-a-holic so I try to keep him away from the tie tables. It's like an illness.

I didn't see the movie list on Paula's Archives. Where the heck is it?
