  1. I took 21 AP tests total. I took 3 my sophomore year and 18 my junior year. I have a ton of info on my experience here: http://emilyxie.com/category/school/ap-tests/ However, I would suggest that students take AP tests when they are comfortable. It can be a very stressful experience, I know it was for me. I would say start small, and if they do well, take more or the same amount.
  2. I took AP Chem, Bio at the same time, then AP Phys. Overall, I took 21 AP tests. If you are going to do those sciences I would suggest also taking AP environmental science as well. Here's some info on all the AP sciences that might be helpful for you: http://www.emilyxie.com/tag/science/
  3. I'm taking all of those this year! If you want any advice on any of the ones that have already happened (if suppose you're taking any late...) I have a ton of advice on them http://emilyxie.blogspot.com/ I assume you'll be taking environmental late?
  4. Creekland, AP's are not necessary for getting into college, but they can really help IN college. Once you are accepted, many colleges will accept AP tests as college credit (usually 3 or higher) and you can save thousands of dollars by learning and mastering the material earlier. That way you can spend more time and money taking classes you are passionate about rather than taking classes that are required to graduate.
  5. I'm actually taking 18 total haha. here's my list: http://emilyxie.blogspot.com/2012/05/on-monday-ill-start-two-weeks-of-ap.html I think the reason I decided to take so many was because one of my friends took 17 last year and self studied a lot and I was very inspired to try to do the same. Another reason why I took more was, last year I took AP Psychology, US History, and Statistics and got 5's, so I felt very empowered to take on a larger challenge.
  6. i'm not homeschooled, but I self studied a lot of AP tests this year (10 to be exact) and I don't think it's unmanageable. I'm blogging about all the tests I'm taking and words of advice to everyone who is planning on taking any of them in the future if you want to check out my blog emilyxie.blogspot.com (look for the posts tagged AP Tests) I really wish someone had told me how hard some of these tests were, even so, I wouldn't turn around and change my mind or even think about it. After learning and reading all of the material for each test, I feel like I've grown as a person and gained so much knowledge that I don't think I even would have sought out on my own.
  7. I just took art history this year and I definitely didn't think it was the easiest one... I have some advice for anyone planning on/thinking about taking it http://emilyxie.blogspot.com/2012/05/ap-art-history.html
  8. I just took AP Art History this year and I self studied, I feel okay about it, I have a lot of info on my experience and all the stuff I used to study on my blog if you want to check that out http://emilyxie.blogspot.com/2012/05/ap-art-history.html
