  1. Yep, I missed Grove City somehow. The ranking came through on my FB feed, so I guess I just missed it.
  2. Interesting I didn't see Grove City or Patrick Hentry College. I know they don't accept fed funds, but neither does Hillsdale and it's there. Maybe they just won't submit info for the reports.
  3. It came through FB a couple of days ago. I thought it was funny and I meant to save it. Now I can't find it even googling and via YouTube. Does anyone have the link they can post? Thanks
  4. Thanks Tech Wife. I also found some free ones online at the local community college website. It's interesting how the different tests can point in totally different directions.
  5. We have had new water softner for a couple of months now. For the first few months I've written ahead on my calendar to check the salt level once a week so it doesn't get too low. I'm so afraid I'll forget even with it there bc things get so busy. Is there an easy way you remind yourself to add salt? How often do you usually add it? Thank you!
  6. Are there any good online aptitude tests which measure a student's interests for career/vocations? I'm familiar with Sokanu, but looking for any reccomendations, whether they are free or not. Also, any reccs for specific tests like this that one might take say at a junior college? Thank you
  7. That is really good news Margaret. I was meaning to ask you how she liked Hillsdale. It looks wonderful for our daughter. The only concern I have so far is that it maybe more of a stressful atmosphere for her.
  8. Thanks Margaret! Hillsdale is also one of her favs.
  9. If you have looked seriously at either or both of the schools and considered sending a student to one of them, can you share what you have learned? They are close geographically and seem similar to me, but I'm sure there's much more to them. Thank you
  10. I have heard that after acquiring so many credits, scholarships are no longer or less available for transfer students. My daughter plans on obtaining some dual enrollment credits, so I'm wondering how accurate this is. What is your experience in this area? Where can I find out more? Thank you.
  11. Wow. Who knew. I really appreciate all this input ladies.
  12. This is all good to know. I got queasy just reading what they would be doing. I would've paid big money to get out of dissecting when I was in highschool.
  13. Ok that's the first time I've heard that. Can you elaborate?
  14. Anyone have a child who just is not into science, does well academically in it, but probably couldn't handle the dissecting in the labs? The child is not heading into a science career. Any other course of action that can be taken in this situation?
  15. Martha, that wasn't at you in particular, but just IMHO after reading several comments. Although looking back, you did say "...processed is just weird. Who does that? Does she keep them on hand just in case? " Eta: Whatever. I guess I just see the tattooed lady with rose colored glasses. In a time of intense sadness.
  16. Hmmm...saw the video. She just looked like a lady trying to process this the best way she knows how. I can't see ascribing ulterior motives to her. I'm sure this hasn't happend a lot around there, so she isn't thinking, "gee maybe my timing is off on this..."
  17. Interesting that the one link above showed the highlights going from the top of head down vertically. I think when I used to get mine done it was foiled from the face (forehead and temples) going back horizontally.
  18. Arcadia, I haven't tried that. I didn't even know that existed. I use the brush in the middle. Thanks for the help!
  19. That sounds pretty Arcadia. Right now, I'm a "7," which is a darker blonde. Up toward the roots, I'm more of a 6 (light brown). I have to do my roots every few weeks bc of the white stuff. And since highlights get covered when you cover the grey, it's all the more reason for me to try this at home and save.
