Hello, I am planning for my ds and dd who will be doing Grade 7th and 8th this fall.They have had LA Mcgraw Hill with Comprehension,Spelling and Grammer workbooks,Singapore Maths plus Math help Prealgebra (My ds has just finished it)and reading of Science books.(No formal Science).They are weaker in writing and literature analysis.Overall ds is bright in Maths,but dd is average. My long term goal is AP English,AP Calculus,AP Chemistry and AP Physics in 11th and 12th Grades.As kids would love to go into the Engineering field. Hello, Due to some unexpected tragedy my kids got two years behind in academic education and I need some remedial Maths and English for 7th and 6th Graders.Elder one has to do 5th,6th and 7th year studies finish by May 2016 and Younger has to do 4th,5th and 6th year studies by May 2016. Hello friends, Due to unexpected accident in my life since July 2014 I didn't continue my kids schooling and won't be able until March 2015.My kids should be working on Grade 6 and 5 this year ...but I can't wait any longer to find out. I'm trying to get everything planned out. As I have to admit my ds to private school in July 2015 so I will be have just 3-4 months just for completing my ds 3R's -The basics only. Maths: Math Mammoth 6A-6B What do you think would we be able to complete all these in 3-4 months?and do they make a rigorous curriculum? I have been homeschooling my kids of ages 11 and 10 since 8 years.Now I am deciding to go back to the University to complete my Master's degree and worrying about kids homeschooling for 2 years. Maths- Time4learning Math Mammoth Singapore math xtramath and Khan Academy Mental math strategies Science- Time4learning-Middle School Science Mr. Q LIfe Science CPO Life Science Geography and History: Evan Moor Daily Geography Easy Peasy Home school Computer: Code.org Codeacademy Scratch and HTML Coding My one child is too slow in everything so need an advice as how to finish my Homeschool in 5 hours?Usually it takes 8-9 hours with just 3R's.I got really discourage about my homeschooling lately as it seems too much like school work. I am thinking if kids do T4L Daily,but alternate Mcgraw Hill treasures book and other LA Books alternate then it might work.All the curriculum has alot of writing in it and they take too much their time. Actually,I got my education out of States so need to buy Chalkdust Basic Math program and other levels.Though I was good at Maths in my School but really afraid of AOPS Maths that if my kids need my assistance as that is for Mathy people and kids....If ds can do AOPS Pre algebra on his own relying on Alcumus and the AoPS videos then I could go for it... I would like to ask that at what age did your kid finish Auffmann's and CD for Basic Math and some Lial's Pre-A?
