  1. I'm sorry for the struggles and I pray you get answers.
  2. Come to think of it, fexofenadine comes in a 180mg dose--it may be just as strong or stronger than two Zyrtec per day.
  3. I'm glad you've avoided anaphylaxis and sorry for the ongoing exhaustion. I find that Zyrtec makes me pretty sleepy. I am much more alert taking fexofenadine or loratidine. Keep doing all the things--vitamins, rest, medical testing. Warm hugs for you.
  4. I had this when I was in high school. My coach made me a simple shoe insert--he cut out a hole in a thick pad to protect the protruding bump. It worked great. I kept playing basketball and doing all the things. Eventually the bump went away.
  5. Thanks for the update. I'm glad you told your boss your feelings about the change in duties. Keep us posted.
  6. Helping ds set up his new house. So much cleaning and painting. That was plenty of exercise today.
  7. This is what I would do—a single shelf. You can put a box or something behind the books to ensure they don’t disappear way in the deep of the shelf.
  8. Thank you!!! I’m sorry to hear of the hardships but glad to hear the update.
  9. What a fabulous time! I’m so glad you had such a wonderful trip.
  10. Ask the questions. They brought you along to the doctor to help them, right? And medical care is too important and too expensive and too time-consuming to have to address things in multiple visits. If you're concerned about "appearances," preface with something like: "Do you mind if I ask a question? I'm confused/concerned/etc."
  11. I taught online for almost a decade. My policy was that I offer fourteen sessions per semester. If you miss, too bad. If I miss, I will make sure to offer a make up session so that you get your fourteen sessions. In reality, if people approached me ahead of time, I was often willing to reschedule. I almost always accommodated people's vacations, for example. If someone was really sick and they told me ahead of time, I might offer to schedule a make up session. But that was never, ever a written policy--it was a kindness I chose to extend to parents who contacted me ahead of time.
  12. I went to the gym first thing and had a solid weights and core workout. I tried some lunges but that’s not going to work with my bum knee. One encouraging thing is that my neck is getting stronger. After the pinched nerve of 18 months ago I had kinda decided I would never be able to do proper sit-ups again due to the pain/strain of rising from a fully supine position. I have been doing sit-ups backwards ever since, going from sitting upright to reclining while tucking my chin and never fully laying down. My gyrotonics instructor wants to strengthen the area and she has been working with me hooked up to the weighted pulleys. So far so good. I tried rolling up on the ball to continue strengthening that motion and feel fine.
  13. No exercise for me today either. Planning to go to the gym in the morning.
  14. How did it go? What did you do? 😃
  15. I will add my voice to @GoVanGogh--my doctor has also given enthusiastic okays to take much more than the recommended amount while on antibiotics.
  16. Sometimes it's best to rest, especially if tea and birdwatching is involved.
  17. I took a short walk yesterday. Unfortunately walks will have to be short until I get my pesky knee sorted, probably next year. Today I hit the gym first thing for weights and core. Awesome.
