    We paid $110/subject here. No discount for siblings. We just quit Kumon this month and start afterschooling. I feel I could better monitor their progress better.

    I bought both book and CDs (to be arrived). Since I work full time, I asked my DD12 to read to my DS8. It didnt work very well. My DD12 always complains that her brother doenst pay attention and would not answer the questions. So I purchased the CDs and let him listen and read the book at the same time and see how that works.

    I was wondering why my DS8 is so good at spelling. I'm pretty sure that he is not following the rules. He is probably just a natual speller. He could read very fluently, however, his reading comprehension is poor, especially auditory. I also read from the forum that a lot of kids have very good reading comprehension, but poor spelling skill. I think that kids just have different abilities.

    Both of us work full time. DH is a professor at a university with pretty flexible hours. I work at IT dept for a financial company with fixed hours and sometimes work overtime. I just found this wonderful forum and am trying to figure out our schedule for afterschooling before school starts.

    I am in very similar situation. I'd like to start Latin with both DD12 (rising 7th grader) and DD7 (rising 3rd grader). Neither of them has had Latin exposure before. I just bought Lively Latin Bigbook 1. Should I start it with both of them at their own pace, or buy Latin Prep for DD12? Thanks
