  1. As a 911 dispatcher, I would encourage you to have the campus call the fire department to test for carbon monoxide or natural gas leak. The symptoms you described are serious enough that if they were given to me as a 911 call, that patient would be sent a fire truck and paramedic. I hope all turns out well
  2. You won't have any regrets if you have your kiddos memorize them. It is a tool that will assist them in locating all the other parts of speech. What worked well for us, was to make a song out of the list. We used "Jingle Bells" and it worked out great. Remember, a preposition is a word used to show the relationship between two nouns. The words standing alone are not prepositions, unless it's a prepositional phrase. Every prepositional phrase must end in a noun or pronoun. Some people have used the "Box" method. If the word can fit into the following sentence than it's a preposition. "The mouse goes ------------ the box (or boxes)." May I also suggest that you have them memorize all the helping verbs and the linking verbs. If you use the song method, memorizing them will be a breeze. Start each morning with your prep song and your daily lessons will be met with enthusiasm and joy. Good Luck, Consuelo :001_smile:

  5. Holly, My DD is in the middle of TT 7, and doing a great job. She usually scores in the range of 90-100 %, on the lessons and tests. Unquestionably, we will be leaving TT and follow the CD math path. My only question is, should she go to Basic Math before Pre-Alg. or directly into Pre Alg. ? I'd appreciate anyone's opinion, whom may have experienced converting from TT to CD. Thank You! Consuelo :)

  11. This is our first year home schooling. I am very happy to report it is going wonderfully. I'd like to express my gratitude towards all the men and women on this board, who have so graciously offered to share their suggestions and wisdom along the way. My question today is what should I do next with math? My daughter will be finnished with TT6 at the end of February, knowing that we're going to use CD from pre-algebra on, should I have her carry on with TT 7, which contains 116 lessons that she would finish in Oct of this year (keep in mind we take summers off) than begin the CD pre-algebra in Oct. and just continue from there. Or would you suggest I put her in CD Basic math to get her used to the method and teaching style? For those of you who are familiar with CD, maybe you can address my concern: will she miss something if she continues with TT 7 first, rather than the method of CD basic math , before she enters into CD pre-algebra? I hope this makes sense. Thank you
