  1. I would skip to the parts she doesnt know and work through those and then move on to the next level. OR just in the 2nd level because sometimes the concepts are reviewed so you wont need to browse through level 1
  2. Yep it is. Should be where plumping is. Home Depot should have it. You can always go to the Goodwill and get a big poster board size picture frame (especially when they have their 1/2 off days) and then paint that instead of a poster board. an alternative would be to go to Walmart and in their craft section (near scrapbooking/sewing, etc) they have chalkboard paint in a small bottle for about $4, but its a small bottle and i dont know how well it works.
  3. I feel like I have a lower end K. :( We will be doing: R&S then when shes through that-- Horizons K (phonics & math) Positive Action Bible K Shell follow along with C with Apologia.
  4. You can make your own :) I posted the link.
  5. you can make your own chalkboard using ANY type of paint and grout powder (i think thats what it is) Its on Pinterest if anyone is on there. http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/my_weblog/2012/02/how-to-mix-chalkboard-paint-in-any-color.html
  6. I have heard of them, at a local homeschool group meeting someone brought them in. I just didnt really get a close look at them. Are they usually at the convention?
  7. I went to the convention for the 1st time last year (GO DUGGARS!!) anyway and it was pretty awesome. I would say to bring a pen and paper to write notes and good walking shoes are a must. I would bring a folder for pamplets, etc. we ate at Arbys last year. This year we are going and i plan to do a better job of writing things down- last year i just wrote " Rod & Staff, christian based, good" but didnt write down WHY i liked it :( I plan to bring a bottle of water and a few snacks and we will go outside the center to eat like last year. This year I plan to buy next years curriculum :) I cant wait!!!!!!!
  8. Im frustrated and confused on Math Curriculum! We are currently using Math U See Primer and I just dont feel like its working for C. I need something visual/hands on without the 10000000000 problems for review. I have heard Saxon and Right Start are good. I dont know what to do. I just know what we are doing isnt working. :( Ideas? Thoughts?
