  1. Very pretty dress. Silver shoes would be perfect.
  2. When I was pregnant with dd, dh made soup. The smell made me so nauseous that to this day he is not allowed to cook it while I'm home .
  3. Two of my favorite funny movies are Noises Off! with John Ritter and Hold that Ghost with Abbott and Costello. They are my go to movies when I need a pick me up.
  4. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  5. I am a balanced wife. Yes I have good points and bad points (as does dh) but dh and I balance each other.
  6. DS will be turning 7 in a few weeks. He has pulmonary function tests every 6 months and has since he was 5. His pulmonologist says that these are "practice" tests as she doesn't feel that they are 100% but give enough information to have value. DS loves taking the pulmonary function tests as he gets to blow in a tube and on a computer screen can make toast pop up or a balloon pops. It makes a HUGE difference with who does the test. DS pulmonologist is very familiar with DS and makes sure that only certain people perform his test.
  7. When we were on vacation last week I made everyone dress in the same colors each day. This was not so that we would match but so when we got home I could gather all the clothes we wore that day and throw them all in the washer. I set the washer to run during the night and dried them in the morning while everyone was getting ready to go to that days activities. Last day of vacation I did an extra load of socks and underwear. This way I ended the vacation with no laundry to do. The kids just thought the matching clothes were part of the fun. :blushing:
  8. Ds uses and albuterol inhaler as needed. He has a maintenance inhaler he takes daily. When he was on QVAR we had no problems but he outgrew the dosage so was switched to Advair. Holy Hannah! Within 3 weeks he turned into the incredible rage child. It was so bad that he was asked to leave 3 of his activities in one day. This was so out of character that I called the pulmonary doctor and found out that it is a side effect of Advair because Advair has a long acting albuterol in it and it was causing the rage. We discontinued the Advair and started on another med and have had no problems. My (mostly) sweet boy is back. There is still a little grumpiness with the albuterol inhaler but it is only for a very short span of time.
  9. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: You are a far better person than I am. As soon as I got to my desk I would gather all the notes and throw them away. If she has time to write the notes then she has time to deal with the issue. After a few "I'm sure your notes are somewhere in the paperwork... were they important?" it might set a new tone in your relationship.
  10. http://maggiesorganics.com/ I have had some of their socks for years. They hold up well.
  11. Tater tots just beg for sour cream. Home fries only need a little salt and maybe a dab of catsup.
  12. "Can you borrow me...." Drives me crazy! :cursing:
  13. I fill my tub as full as possible with the hottest water and pour in 1/2 a gallon of vinegar then let soak overnight. The next morning it is a lot easier to scrub the sides. We also have hard water :(
  14. I don't want to relive a year only a few days here and there. Mostly to see and hug family members that have passed away. Although time has passed I still miss them.
  15. It can take a few weeks for the confusion after surgery to clear. Older people just don't always react well to the anesthesia then when you add in the sleep deprivation from being in the hospital you can get some pretty confused people. Unless he had a previous diagnosis of dementia the confusion should clear up but it make take a few weeks.
  16. I wash all my "non washable" stuff on the gentle cycle. If it is that or throw it out then what is the worst that will happen?
