  1. I don't think your ID is linked to your child's ID. Your ID is used to verify your identity and you only need it to electronically sign the fasfa as the parent. You use the same website that your chikd used to get your own ID. You follow the same process. IIRC, the ID is used for more than FASFA, including applying for government college loans. I just looked at my notes. The ID is really just a username and password. You will also have a SAVE KEY that you chose so that you or your student can save your progress as you fill it out. I know it seems confusing because IT IS! Only the government could come up with something like this. After you both get your username and passwords set up, Have your student login to the FASFA site and it will let you know when you need to input your ID. I believe it's only near the end of the process. Good luck.
  2. The cheap Kirkland fish oil capsules. We started with one a day and added a second capsule later. Like humans, she sometimes has fish-breath from it. Her coat is nice and shiny though!
  3. I puncture the capsules and squirt the oil on her food.
  4. My 19-year-old cat refuses all wet foods. She had a senior blood panel done 18 months ago, and her renal function numbers were boarderline. The vet recommended we switch to wet rx food. She refused. She'd rather starve. So we gave up. I put her on grain-free Taste of the Wild dry food, supplemented with fish oil. I read about renal failure in cats and purchased Aventi KS powder and added it to her food also. A couple of weeks ago, we took her in for a skin issue. The vet ran a senior panel and her numbers had actually improved. He couldn't believe it. Her renal numbers were normal! I really can't explain what has worked. I rarely add the Aventi, but I'm religious about the fish oil. I just know that she is thriving on the dry, grain-free ood. BTW, she drinks plenty of water.
  5. I really, really hate this type of sales pitch. A friend of mine sells a high-line product and recently posted an ad that said, "You spend $130 on your hair, $35 on your nails, $120 on shoes, and $150+ on a purse, so why not spend $2.75 a day on your skin?" Somehow, I'm thinking she doesn't know me as well as I thought she did. ðŸ˜
  6. Here's the link. Having a family member in a similar position, I would be careful about sending cash. Purchasing groceries and directly paying utilities is sometimes a better solution. http://www.dss.virginia.gov
  7. I wonder if this is true for a beauty product company as well. My FB feed is starting to look like a R&F catalog. I've got multiple FB friends selling it!
  8. I can't help but wonder what the response would be if a male mayor suggested such a thing.
  9. I just ordered that carafe! $14.10 delivered. Thanks!
  10. I would be a bit concerned with repair costs on the Acura since they are a high-line brand of Honda. Can you get a local dealer to run the VIN and see if there was warranty work done on it? A vehicle with three previous owners gives me pause....
  11. ITA. Please share your concerns with an adult at the school. They will address the bullying issue regardless of the child's orientation. I agree with Joker that it's very important that the boy tell his parents in his own terms.
  12. Me too! It took me a while to find a stylist that could do the cut. My hairdresser cuts it and then thins/texturizes it. I think the thinning out helps it lay better and it grows out without looking weird. I get it cut every 6-8 weeks.
  13. I ordered something and waited too late to cancel the order. Amazon had shipped it with something else I needed, so I opened the box, retrieved the item I wanted and attempted to return the one I didn't, When I went to print out the return, Amazon was going to charge me $11 to ship it back to them. I ended up selling it to a friend rather than hassle with Amazon. I was surprised and will be more careful in the future.
  14. I hope they are able to hack into Colburn and Lenk's personal cell phone records for the time period of November 3rd through 5th.
  15. I think Colburn found the victim's SUV at the quarry. Remember that he read the plate off to the dispatcher prior to the discovery of it at the salvage yard. I think he and other deputies moved her burnt bones using SA's burn barrel. They left the pelvic bones at the quarry by accident. Then they planted the SUV on the property. At some point, they planted the car key in SA's bedroom to ensure that SA would be the obvious suspect. It was strange that very early on, just after the victim's SUV had been found, Colburn asked if SA had been picked up yet. He even asked if they had found her body yet even though there was no indication she was murdered at this point. This was before anything had been found inside SA's trailer or the victims bones found. This is curious because there were other people like Steve's brothers and nephews who lived on the property as well, yet Colburn just focused on SA. I kept waiting for more physical evidence. The victim was chained to the bed so where were the marks on the bed? Where was the blood from her throat being slit? If she was shot in the garage, where was the blood? Eleven or 12 shell casings found, but just one bullet? Why wasn't the blood foynd in her SUV that looked like hair strands tested? If she was killed at SA's house or garage and just dumped at the nearby firepit, why was there blood in the back of her SUV? None of the prosecutions story made sense. As for Brandon, I think he was railroaded and anyone who is a parent of a teen with diminished intellectual abilities ought to be very frightened by how Brandon was manipulated. The interviews of Brandon clearly illustrate how he was victimized.
  16. After binge-watching the entire ten episodes over 3 days, I feel very conflicted. One thing is for certain, it sure has been a roller coaster ride for viewers.
  17. I made this tonight with leftover ham. It received rave reviews! I cooked with dry beans (not soaked) for 40 minutes.
  18. My son's favorite Instant Pot is this Mac 'n Cheese. It's so creamy and tastes like Stouffer's. http://dadcooksdinner.com/2013/04/pressure-cooker-macaroni-and-cheese.html/
  19. A person must be 21 years of age (or 18 years and older and active duty) to possess a handgun in Texas. So, I would guess a very small percentage of students would qualify.
  20. This is my dh's great, great, great aunt. She led a very interesting life. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelia_De_Bey
  21. Don't let the price fool you. These are very sturdy. My sons cram them in their pockets and they end up in the bottom of my washing machine and I've never had a pair break. The only time they get replaced is when they are lost.
