We are finsihing up Horizons 2 and I am debating on whether to stay with Horizons or switch to TT. I had my DD take the placement test and she scored well for TT3 and just below for TT4. I recall reading that TT was a grade below, should I just skip over TT3 and get TT4?

I have been debating this for my 10 yr old. I like Horizons Math. The teacher's guide is great . It is open and go. :bigear: for History and Science suggestions

I can not commnet on RS but I use Spellin WOrkout for my third grader. We review the words together and compose a sentence with each, but the workbook is done independtly. Level E would proabably be the 5th grade book.

"Does Hake Grammar include diagramming sentences? If so, at which grade level? Thanks. -" I looked at the samples on the link from abopve and Grade 5 has diagramming. Maybe someone who is using 4 can tell us. stm4him-I was looking into LOE for my 3rd grader as well. I thought it was just a spelling/phonics program. Can it be used for Grammar and Writing as well?

Thanks for the ideas! We are going next month and I will look into some of these.

My 10 yr DD is on Strattera and Vyanese. Her developmental ped said the Strattera works for anxiety (non stimulant) while the Vyanese helps the ADD. She is high functioning ASD (wouldnt be surprised if they gave her an Asperger's Dx one day) (we tried concerta (Instead of Vyanese) for awhile but I think she outgrew it) Vyanese has been wonderful and I think the combo works well for her. She is 90 pounds and is on 30mg of vyanese and 45mg of Strattera. The decreased appetite isn't a problem for us. I do make sure she has a high protein breakfast and that helps. Good luck!

Thank you for your quick responses. I am still in the process of learning more about CC. I thought I had our plans for next year laid out. My head is spinning a bit from looking at the Veritas press catalog. What curriculum would you use to support CC?
