  1. I went throught the same thing with my son. We switched from Saxon to Chalkdust for Agebra 1. After getting more than half way through the book, he still did not have a good grasp of the basics of algebra. Seems that was all toward the back of the text, which we never made it to. Factoring and other basics had not yet been introduced, but some more complicated concepts had. He's back doing Saxon Alg 1, and now seems to be learning the building blocks of Algebra. Grace
  2. Tracy, I know you have a point. Thanks for your input. Used text and TM may be the way to go.... Kim
  3. I'll check the samples. My daughter says she likes the stories in BJ, but I think the color really helps. I'll have to find used if I go with BJ. Kim
  4. I'm trying to decide btwn the two reading programs, BJ vs. CLE. I'm hearing good things about CLE. I did BJ years ago and it was good. My 8 yr dd did it for 1st grade and liked, but CLE is less expensive. If there going to do the same thing I would really rather switch. Any thoughts...... Kim
  5. You ladies are amazing! I'm trying to get everything for Alg 1. I see you have the text, solutions guide and video ISBN's but what about the TM. I believe they have one for this with CD. Has anyone been able to find that. For the one's who have done this, is it matching up pretty well? Kim
