  1. It's a bit ahead of our public schools here. I can't say much, though, since my 4th grader is just now finishing up 304. We switched from Singapore and the conceptual method is just really hard for her. We did Singapore for a year (after using CLE) and we ended up having to go backwards when moving back.
  2. I believe that RSO is coming out with their middle school level of earth/space science next month!
  3. I just discovered this curriculum. And then accidentally bought the text with one click on Amazon last night. 😂 No, really, it was an accident. So what grades is this written for? What do you all do since it doesn't cover China? I'm just trying to decide if we will actually use it now.
  4. Why did I have to look at TAN? I was all set to use SOTW. 😂
  5. Growing with Grammar sells a book with just diagramming I believe.
  6. Anyone have reviews on this? Someone on Facebook suggested possibly combining my older 2nd grader and my almost 4th grader in this. Do you love it? Does it i Clyde diagramming. Any input appreciated!
  7. Okay! That sounds like what I'm looking for! How long is a typical lesson?
  8. My girls are in 1st and 3rd right now. We like Singapore but we have issues with topics not being reviewed frequently enough. I know-it's mastery. It looks like there are some review of topics throughout MLFLE though. Is there some review actually in there?
  9. Is this program enough to be a stand alone?? Any reviews?
  10. Hi all! Could anyone give thoughts on ECC? I have always been intrigued by this program. We like HOD but I want to combine this upcoming year. My girls will be in 2nd and 4th.
  11. Does anyone use this as their sole way of doing spelling? Good idea or bad idea?? Can I find grade appropriate lists already on there? If not, what is a simple spelling program to use?
  12. I think we are all planned out. :) HIstory/Bible/Science/Spelling - HOD Beyond (she will likely finish by December and start Bigger at that point) Grammar - Growing with Grammar 2 Math- Singapore 2A/2B Literature - reading through level 2 DITHOR books Writing - writing class at co-op Music - either violin at co-op or piano PE - either karate or dance and of course playing outside Our plans are simple but this works so well for us. Both girls are back in HOD and we finally have a nice little groove going.
  13. I think we're planned and ready to go. Most of it is just continuing what we are doing now. :) History/Bible/Science - Finish out HOD Preparing (move on to CTC if we finish it at any point) Literature- HOD DITHOR Level 3/4 Grammar- Growing with Grammar 4 Math- Singapore 3B/4A Writing- Writing class at co-op Music- Violin at co-op PE - Karate and playing outside I think that's it. :)
  14. I am following this. Right now, I am using Write Shop Junior D with a 7th griade reluctant writer. I'm thinking this is going to help her be a little less reluctant. We might need some other things added in eventually. I plan to work in Write Shop Primary A and C for my two youngest.
  15. Okay, that helps. I was simply comparing the worksheet pages and those looks very similar.
  16. This is where I'm not seeing a ton of difference though. Maybe it's because there are so few samples online. I need to see if someone nearby has EG to look through. I ordered FLL 1 for my youngest though.
  17. Well maybe we should just give FLL a try!
  18. Can you explain to me why it's not up to par with EG? I really want to know this. :)
  19. This helps! I always did it with her. She does the workbook component on her own, but I do the teaching.
  20. Why does this curriculum get a bad rep? I know it's not as rigorous as R&S, but it seems to me that it's as solid as Easy Grammar. Thoughts? Am I missing something? We used it for 2nd and my daughter retained well. We are about to go back to it for 3rd.
