  11. Can anyone tell me what books are needed in the first 6 weeks?
  12. I love HOD and FIAR, but I don't like the lower guides in HOD. It just depends on what you are looking for. We use FIAR for the younger ones.
  13. LA, Math, Science, History, Art, Music, poetry... and everything else? It is so overwhelming.
  14. Well, I may do this... Have my younger ones do FIAR(we are already using and love) say K-3...we will read other picture books for history and science. My high schooler is independent. I may do HOD CTC and up with any of my 4th-8th graders. I may have the younger ones to listen to some of the reading. It would be sort of a rotation schedule. I wouldn't mind using SOTW, but I can't schedule music, art,...and I don;t do science or bible very good if it is not scheduled. I am not a good make my own schedule person.
  15. We are already using FIAR for the younger ones, but I want something scheduled for 4th grade and up that everyone can do together.
  16. for everything except Math, LA, and Foreign Language that combines everyone? I know about TOG and MFW.
  17. Does anyone do this? I would like to do this, but I want everything scheduled.
  18. What do you think makes MFW able to combine different ages compared to HOD(CTC and up)?
  19. History on Mondays, cience on Tuesdays, Bible on Wed....? Or do you do every subject every day? LA and Math are the exception and is done every day. I was curious what other people do.
  20. if you use Living Books? There are no questions and answers, so do you just use narrations from your history and science? Also, do you do every subject daily?
  21. What days do you do each of these? Do you do it all every day?
  22. If you use these books ...how do you fit them into a rotation? I know they divide it into Ancient World, Greece, Rome, Middle Ages, Renaissance...
  23. They will be offering their science separate... The insects, astronomy, and for 5th and 6th it includes birds and trees.
  24. Have any of you used their programs?
