  1. I'm so very sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a beloved pet. Suzanne
  2. You could trim a basic black leotard with tinsel. (We pinned the tinsel on so that it could be removed.) We did that one year at a studio that my daughter attended. It was also for a very informal presentation but the girls looked really cute. Suzanne
  3. Good for your daughter. She made the best of a difficult situation. I think you, your daughter and your mom handled everything very well. Suzanne
  4. I have read positive reviews about the Janome Hello Kitty machine, but I haven't tried it myself. Suzanne
  5. I wouldn't send her to their house with work either. I have a mother in law that pushes boundaries too and giving in encourages it. At this point, I would be reluctant to allow a sleepover at this time. Your in laws will probably go against your wishes and try to teach on their own. Suzanne
  6. Oxy Clean is really good at removing tough smells. My mom used it when she took care of my sick grandmother. I also used it on some items that survived a house fire. Suzanne
  7. My mom bought me this one from Breville: http://www.teavana.com/tea-products/tea-appliances/p/breville-one-touch-tea-maker?cm_mmc=Google-_-Merch-_-GS_Products_Tea_Maker_Breville-_-%20+breville%20best%20tea%20maker_b&gclid=CKT9orORu8gCFQcQaQodBnEMyQ. It is expensive, but we love it. Suzanne
  8. I think your last statement is very harsh. Suzanne
  9. I'm so sorry. I am always afraid my dog will bite someone too, but she is the sweetest girl with me and my husband. I hope everything works out. Suzanne
  10. My dog loves Fromm too. I think I would try different flavors to find one your dog likes. Fromm food has an excellent reputation and no recalls. My dog eats Surf and Turf, but her favorite is Salmon Tunalini. We buy the Salmon food and give it to her as a treat. She absolutely loves it. I've thought about switching and letting the Salmon Tunalini be her regular kibble, but I hate to lose it as a treat. I do dress her regular kibble up with a few treats, an egg or some yogurt. Suzanne
  11. Our dance studio lets them start at 4. My five year old started when she was 4. She loves it!
  12. I would be very concerned about mini strokes. Before my dad had a bad stroke, he had been falling down a lot. I wish we had known about mini strokes and their symptoms. I'm sorry she is going through a hard time and you are too. Health issues can be so stressful. Suzanne
  13. If you want a kibble food, Fromm foods are very high in quality too. They have been in business over 100 years and they have never had a recall. We feed our dog their grain free varieties. We tried adding raw to her kibble when she was a puppy but she always had stomach problems. Congratulations on your new dog!!
  14. My five year old loves her Puddle Jumper still! They are great.
  15. I would definitely look at all three houses again. We moved about a year ago and we revisited a few of our favorites before deciding. The second visit could make all the difference. We really spend some time on our second visit and it made a difference. Suzanne
  16. I'm so very sorry! It is so hard to let them go. Suzanne
  17. My oldest daughter was scared to death of bugs. She still really hates them. One night, she woke up and there was a bug in her room. She was hysterically crying. I got the bug out, but she still wouldn't go to sleep. Out of desperation, I grabbed the Lysol and sprayed it in her room. I told her it was bug spray. We had to spray her room for about a month afterwards, but it worked like a charm!! Sometimes you just have to get creative!
  18. I'm sorry I missed the post about the the concern for her heart. I hope you get some answers soon. In that case, I would take her to the doctor, ER or an urgent care clinic if she has breathing problems before her appointment. Praying she feels better and you get answers. Suzanne
  19. I have asthma and one of my daughters does too. If she is struggling to breathe, I would let her use your inhaler. It might help and if it doesn't it shouldn't hurt her. I understand about the whole hygiene thing, but struggling to breathe is a bigger issue than any germs you and her might share. Struggling to breathe can cause you to panic which will make it even harder to breathe. I think your pediatrician sounds way off base. If I had been told that about my daughter, I probably would have been looking for another pediatrician. I hope you get a good allergist who can help you. Suzanne
  20. My dog's blood tests were fine too. His first seizure was a big one so there wasn't really any doubt what we were dealing with. Good look getting a video of her and good luck finding out what is wrong. Our dog was a little off after a big seizure, but otherwise he always seemed fine too. He lived for several years with seizures so be encouraged that if it is seizure activity, it can be treated. We actually didn't treat my dog at first. We waited until it was affecting his quality of life. Having lived with a very beloved pet who had several chronic health conditions, I understand what you are going through. It can be incredibly frustrating and upsetting. Hugs to you and your fur baby! Suzanne
  21. We moved last year to a larger house. I find it takes more time to get it really clean. However, it stays neat and tidy most of the time because we have space for the way we live. I really hate having 3 bathtubs though. Most of the time the kids end up using our bathroom anyway so two of them are giant dust collectors. Suzanne
  22. How is your dog doing? I hope she is doing better. It is so hard. Blessings, Suzanne
