Very frustrating when younger brother has surpassed her in all subjects. I feel like everything I choose to do in school revolves around her ability. Not having the $$$$ to provide her with vision therapy. The fact that NONE of my dc can do any work independently.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by progressive, but I definitely don't fit in. I'm a Preterist who believes in Covenant Creation. Which translates- Preterism: Christ returned in 70ad during the destruction of the temple. God now dwells on earth with his people, He live inside us. Covenant Creation: the creation story in Genesis is the first covenant given to man, not a scientific text on how the world was created. I'm old earth and I believe God created the world. Whether through theistic evolution or intelligent design, I really don't think it is relevant: God did not choose to reveal that to us. I believe the flood was local. I don't think the word hell is a good translation for Hades and Gehenna. They were two very distinct places and our translations have merged them into one word that represents neither. But, am very conservative at the same time. I believe Christ was literally Gods son, died and rose again. I believe the husband is the head of the wife, we are to submit to one another in love, but dh has the final say. I believe homosexuality is a sin. I'm pretty modest and I don't like foul language. I don't believe all live on after they die. Only Christ followers have eternal life. Needless to say, I keep my mouth shut 90% of the time. I avoid AIG and any products associated with them like the plague. Oh, and I'm a libertarian!-)

Milovany, Do you actually see people's 'for sale' posts in your news feed like you did when it was on regular FB if the app is installed? Or, do you have to go to the app to view the 'for sales'? Is there a way to get the 'for sales' to show up in the news feed like before? I just don't understand how the app is actually integrated into FB. When I search and click on VS, it takes me to the iTunes Store to down load the app (which I have), then I have to go to the actually app to view the posts. It is completely separate from FB. I have actually sold curriculum on the new VS app, but if it doesn't show up on my news feed: it is sort of out-of-sight, out-of-mind. The VS website is way more user friendly than the app. I'm sorry FB is getting so strict on their admins. I do understand why you moved. I would just like the post to show up on the news feed.

Could you just post the instruction to this? I've set up varagesale, but I don't see it on my Facebook page. I just go the the website to view. I only have an ipad and the app is designed for an iPhone, so it is really bad.

I'm not doing Greek for academic purposes. I want to teach my kids Greek to be able to read the New Testament. If there are any benefits other than reading the NT, that is all bonus.

Have you looked at a Mazda 5? It is a "vanlit". That is what we have. It only seats 6. The middle seats are captain chairs and the back seat is a 2 seater bench. It is a cross over between a van and a hatchback. The price starts at 20k and it gets really good gas mileage. It was the perfect solution for us and my 3 littles still at home. Dd at college can still ride with us when home too.

What about Songschool Greek? Anyone used it?

I would like my 3rd grader to start Koine Greek. I keep looking at programs, but I really don't know what to use. I would like something that is easy to implement, has attractive worksheet/workbook pages and not too teacher intensive. I was thinking of starting out with the Greek Alphabet Code Cracker, but I have no idea where to go from there.

I washed him in Dawn. It killed most of the fleas. I will try Advantix and see how that works. Do you think waiting 2 weeks before application of Advantix would be safe? After searching online, I read that since Frontline and Advantix were different meds you didn't have to wait 30 days before applying the second. Our house is also being remodeled and we are grating the yard, so yard treatment is out. I live in a cooler climate and we only have to deal with fleas for 4 months or so. This the the first year the meds didn't work.

Ok, I didn't know CC didn't use the Bible cards. I'm going to be doing the online self-paced history too. Do you think it wold be ok to buy the entire set of card or do you think the info will change before we get to modern?

I'm going to do VP Genesis-Joshua. I have noticed there are lots of used cards for sale online and I am guessing CC users are trying to sell their old card to get CC's new cards. How often does VP change their resources listed on the bottom of the cards? If I buy Gen.-Joshua new and a used set of cards for child #2, will the resources listed on the cards match?

I have a Pomerian. I shaved him and gave him a dose of Frontline Plus. We bombed the house and left for three days. While we were gone, my dog did not have fleas. After being home for two days, he was crawling in fleas. A week and a half after I gave him another dose of Frontline (I know you're no supposed to, but I didn't know what to do). That got rid of most the fleas. Three days later he was crawling with fleas again, so I bathed him in flea shampoo. It killed most the fleas on him. The next day he is crawling with fleas, again. I don't think I have a flea infestation in the house. The fleas are large (adult) so, I think he is getting new fleas every time he goes outside. I can't treat the yard because we live in the country on acreage (old farm land with woods behind the house). Surely there is something that I can give him that will kill the fleas he gets on him outside. What do you suggest?

I'm looking for a planning program that will: 1. Print a weekly grid. 2. Shift a subject over a day. Does that make sense? Lets say that I missed doing math page 4 on Monday and I would like the program to shift page 4 to Tuesday and shift all the other math assignment one day forward. That is really all I need the program to do.

I'm in NC and we are required to administer an achievement test. It doesn't matter which test, I can administer and grade the test myself and the results are of no inportance to me. I do not have to turn in the results. I am only required to keep them on file. My dc are 2nd and 3rd grade. What I want is the lest expensive test available. Which test would be for me and where would I buy that test?

I'm going to start IEW A this fall. I was also looking at Fix-It Grammar. My kids will be in 3rd grade. Would it be good to start in the fall? Or would it be better to wait?

I would like to have real Bible scripture readings, not story book Bibles like VOS or Egermeier's, but like from Biblioplan, to go with SOTW 1. Is there a schedule some where for this? Because I don't want to use anything else scheduled in Bibloplan, I don't feel justified to buy the schedule for just the Bible portion.

Do you know which ocean the fish come from? It is way cheaper than what I am using, but I can't risk radiation from this Pacific Ocean .

If you use fish oil to help with ADHD/attention, how long did it take before you saw any results. I have started Nordic Naturals Daily Omega Kids, one soft gel a day, for my 9yr old dd. I don't know If this is the best name brand, but my reason for choosing is because it is harvested from the Atlantic Ocean. I don't want any fish oil from the Pacific Ocean because of the radiation that has been found in the fish from the neculear meltdowns in Japan.

My SIL had 4 and did fine. She was done having kids after 4, but I think the doc told her not to have any more dc anyway. She also felt 4 c-sections was the max one should have.
