  1. Thank you very much. You ladies obviously know way more than I do about computers! I will go over these recommendations. She will obviously be pretty much on her own, but she is motivated. Thanks for the link about web design, CleoQc, I know she is interested in that also. Thanks for the offer to help :-) Noelle
  2. Thank you. I will check that out. I think html is a computer language. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks, Noelle
  3. My 15 yo has finished Computer Science Pure and Simple books 1 and 2. She would like to learn html. It will need to be self teaching, but she picks up the computer pretty easily. Thanks, Noelle
  4. My three oldest wouldn't say they have close friends. There are a couple of neighbor kids they play with occasionally and a hs family whose kids are the same age that we play with on soccer teams. My older two each had a friend or two at our old church, but after we left contact seemed to slow and then end. My 13 yo ds seems to take it the hardest. I am looking at some coops, as all the churches we have visited either have no teens or none the same age. My friends 13 yo ds is having the same struggles. I think that for many hs kids this is a problem. I do not have the answers, though I know ps is not our answer. Noelle 15 yo dd, 13 yo ds, 11 yo ds, 9 yo ds, 2 yo ds
  5. I had looked at the Classical Conventions and thought it looked great. I didn't see how I could do it with the age range I have. Maybe I can do it with my last when everyone else is gone :-)
  6. What co-op have you found in Morrow for your older kids? I knew that there was one that moved down there from around Lebanon, but I thought they had ended it. I was part of a 10 wk coop last year, but there is just no one my 13yo ds age or any girls that click with my 15yo dd. Do you happen to have a 13yo ds or a 15 yo dd? :001_smile: Feel free to e-mail or pm me. Thanks, Noelle
  7. I am from north of you near Lebanon. I don't do all classical, but do follow some of the suggestions in the WTM. How old are your dc? Mine are 15dd, 13 ds, 11 ds, 9 ds, 2ds. To answer about the convention: The convention early, early bird pricing ended Jan 1, but the early bird goes until Feb. 1. I got $40 for family before Jan 1, I think family goes to $45-50 until Feb. 1. I am not sure about individual. It is a great convention. I really think the teen track is great also, if you have older kids.
  8. I haven't posted for quite a while, but my dd is trying to find a penpal. I am hesitant to let her write to someone off of a website I am not familiar with since I have no idea how they screen the participants. Thanks, Noelle
  9. I bought the student book/answer book set from Rainbow Resources. CBD had it too. I don't know if they sell it separately. HTH, Noelle
  10. It is by Janice Campbell. I have not heard of her before. She has written Transcripts Made Easy. Does anyone have any familiarity with her? Thanks, Noelle
