  1. I was very pleased with the program and thrilled not to have to teach Art myself for a year! This was perfect for two boys who avoided crayons and coloring like the plague. We did a lesson every other Friday and I heard lots of giggles coming from the room. I, too, wish they had another level. I would purchase in a heartbeat.
  2. I would prefer workbook 4, then, and so now I need to come up with another writing program! Oh darn!
  3. Honestly, I don't have time to read through all the posts and I'm trying to put my Rainbow Resource order in today. I can't tell which workbook to order and the PeaceHillPress site wasn't very enlightening. My ds will be in 4th grade and has had some writing experience. Do you have to start with wb 1 or should I jump to #2? Thanks for any help!
  4. read the "You Wouldn't Want to" books that related just for fun. By boys (8 & 11) thought these were so funny. We read: You Wouldn't Want to be a Pyramid Builder You Wouldn't Want to be Tutankahmen You Wouldn't Want to be an Egyptian Mummy You Wouldn't Want to be an Assyrian Soldier You Wouldn't Want to be a Sumerian Slave You Wouldn't Want to be a Greek Athlete You Wouldn't Want to be a Slave in Ancient Greece You Wouldn't Want to be a Roman Gladiator I plan on continuing these books through time periods. They were a big hit!
  5. He writes biographies of famous Americans in history and they are very amusing!
  6. I used HWT with ds #1 successfully. Tried it with ds #2 and he struggled with there only being two lines and really wanted the three lines. (the one with the dotted line in the middle) I really like the HWT approach showing how to do each stroke at the top of the page. Is there something similar to that using the 3 lines for cursive?
  7. Is Father's Day a day for dads to do whatever they want, even if that means spending the day away from home and family? Should they spend at least part of the day with their kids or is it ok for him to go off, maybe even for the whole weekend, and do his own thing? I'm curious what others think. I'd love to know your opinions as well as hubby's opinions!
