  1. Here's idea, cheap phone or tablet, paired with a Bluetooth speaker if needed to be heard by the entire class.
  2. I have a garden, but I'm not super into it. I like the product, not the work. But I keep it around for one reason, so I have a place "to go" when DH and I are fighting. So I guess I RAGE GARDEN. 😆
  3. I cook the same things every week. Yes, the same things. M - spaghetti and salad T - tacos W - chicken broccoli tortellini R - bbq chicken sandwiches with coleslaw F - homemade pizza and salad Sa - grilled pork chops with corn, yellow squash, and cantaloupe Su - kielbasa with zucchini, tomatoes, and rice I will change something depending on what's going on or if I feel like doing something different. The rotation will change slightly in the fall when I will let myself use the oven again. This has simplified all decision making, and I have a Master Grocery List that use for my weekly shopping trip. I also batch cook breakfasts and lunches. I actually like to cook and try new foods, but it's very much a need-to-do task in my life right now, and this gets it done.
  4. Yep, and we switched because of it. I feel like it's all just a game you have to play. 🙄
  5. I'm listening in... Finally got back to the dentist in 2018 after years of not. Had lots of work done which included pulling an unsalvagable tooth - in the back, next to last on the bottom. Then I got some much needed Invisalign (highly recommended if you need it!!) And JUST had jaw surgery to correct my bite. So my teeth will be amazing very soon, but I'll still be missing that one and just don't wanna anymore.
  6. One that hasn't been mentioned, Slow Mo Guys. They record random stuff on super high speed cameras, then slow it down so you can see like, glass breaking and lightning grow and stuff explode. They're pretty funny too.
  7. My 8th and 6th graders are in PS for the first time this year. I'm still homeschooling my 3rd and 1st graders, but am making a 2 year plan to get them ready for PS (at 5th and 3rd grade). I haven't earned any income since before I got married, and I really need to consider my options going forward. All that to say, you're not alone in this space!
  8. I LOVE YNAB and have been using it since it was just an Excel spreadsheet. The YouTube videos with Hannah are fun to watch and give great ideas on how to take YNAB beyond just a spending tracker. If anyone has any questions about it, let me know. I feel like this is a kind of hobby of mine. I watch all the videos and listen to all the podcasts. 😆
  9. We have our testing one day, and they receive their new belts and rank certificates about 2 weeks later at a separate ceremony.
  10. Yes, Structured. It seems to be only on iPhone though, I can't find it for my android phone.
  11. My kids just started at the middle school and had to purchase the school's agenda. It has a monthly spread for and a two-page weekly spread, so you can see the entire week at one time. All the teachers use this structure in the class room and have a spot on the board where they write the homework that the students are to copy into their agenda. Sometimes they'll finish it in class, so they check it off immediately. As parents, we're told to look at the student's agenda daily to help them stay on top of things. We have yet to have any long term projects to plan out, but that's where the monthly spread will come in handy. I myself am a "planner girl" and use one daily. My Google Cal is my main catch-all for events, birthdays, holidays, and reminders like return library books. I review 3-4 weeks at a time, weekly, then put that into a weekly spread that includes any appointments or things I need to do for future events - like I'll look at my Google Cal, see my sister's birthday is in 3 weeks, then make a to-do on my weekly spread that says "gift for Sister". For larger projects, I have a notebook where I break it down into steps. I review those monthly, and put any to-dos from those into a to-do list for the month... but I look at that list weekly and either add things to a general weekly to-do list or I'll write it in on specific days depending on what else is going on. It all seems complicated writing it out, but it helps me keep focused and to not become overwhelmed by all the things.
  12. Winnie the Pooh. It's not just for preschoolers.
  13. Dinosaurs, then play Laurie Breckner's Whadda Ya Think of That? (We are the Dinosaurs) every morning.
  14. Playing a Mancala tournament with my kids. I lost every time! 😆
  15. Good thing I don't post much, minimal confusion. 😅 I could take Carrie1234 too.
