  1. I would go to Urgent Care. Many UC Centers do x-rays just like ER. Call them and ask if they can do it.
  2. We are still recovering from yesterday. I promised myself that I will not cook today, but that was yesterday.... I just finished Taco Soup and instead of chicken I used turkey. My husband told me that he can't trust me when I say that I won't cook anything. Unfortunately, that is true. 😂
  3. I was busy all day long. Dinner was yummy. DS13 saved the day by doing dishes while I was cooking and preparing everything for dinner. Georgia (my dishwasher) did the dishes after dinner. My kitchen is clean. We are watching The Wonderful World of Disney and all those Christmas songs are getting me in "Bake Christmas Cookies" mood.
  4. I have problem with sinuses, shortness of breath and excessive yawning. Should I be worried?
  5. Speed Queen! I thought that something is wrong with me because I love my SQ and I would not change it for anything. I feel much better knowing that I am not the only one..... And that idea about adding it to my will is priceless. 😂
  6. A mom from my son's homeschool co-op was like that mom. Her husband bought a bicycle and she was furious. The guy had diabetes and was trying to lose some weight, so he started to ride a bike every weekend. She would call me and ask me to tell him that it is not nice to leave her with kids on weekends, or to tell him that he should not buy a new bicycle when he can borrow one from his parents..... I stopped answering phone calls and messages. One day she stopped me at the grocery store and told me that I am selfish, rude and disrespectful because I am not answering her messages, and she is a friend in need. 🙄 I told her that as I know practicing medicine without license is felony in the USA, and for that reason I can't be her therapist. I advised her to find local therapist and schedule an appointment. She looked at me like I have two heads. I smiled and walked away. She never called again. 🙂
  7. Angelina Jolie - I can't stand her. I change channel if she is on TV.

  9. What company do you fly with? How many layovers do you have? I fly to Europe every year. We started when my son was 6 months old. I have never had any problems. Here what I take with me: Passport Letter signed by my husband that he agrees that I take our son out of country Printed Airplane Tickets Medicine (Tylenol and Motrin included) Lysol wipes Hand sanitizer Knitting Project (circular needles only, no scissors (use nail clipper instead)) Book, Uno cards or some other easy to pack game Notebook and coloring pencils Extra clothes for my son, and extra underwear for me (it happened few times that we missed our connecting flight and had to stay at the hotel) Cellphone, charger, headphones, iPad, headphones and charger for son Long sleeve hoodie or something that will keep us warm Cosmetic bag with tooth brush ZIP lock bag for toothpaste, any liquid (shampoo, mouthwash...) If you fly with Delta you will get sleeping mask, ear buds and headphones. United Airlines / American Airlines give only headphones. Lufthansa and KLM usually give just headphones. We usually wear long pants and long sleeves in the airplane for two reasons - it gets cold, I do not want my skin to touch the seats. I also wear snickers simply because it's easy to put them on / take them off. If you travel with baby make sure that you have enough diapers for the trip (and clothes too). Also, make sure to have a bottle so you can give your baby to drink during the take off and landing. Many times kids cry because their ears hurt during take off and landing. Chewing gum or drinking helps with the pressure in ears. If you get stuck on the airport because you missed your flight ask for the hotel room if you have to wait for ten hours or more (especially if you have kids). One more thing.... Do not worry, everything will be OK. Enjoy your trip!!! 🙂
  10. He is probably acting like this because you all as a family tolerate that kind behavior. If he would be left out from family gatherings, he would probably start to act differently. He is playing on guilt and that's what manipulative people often do.
  11. I woke up at 5.00AM, and it has been a very productive morning. DONE coffee check and answer emails changed bed sheets master bathroom cleaned master bedroom cleaned watering house plants make bread weekly meal plan Thanksgiving dinner menu plan TO DO breathing exercise clean study room and go through the books and papers that we do not need anymore (this should be #1 priority) finish sewing napkins (this could end up being my #1 priority even though it should not be) read for at least 30 minutes check my DS's school work spend time with my hubby (possibly going to Home Depot) try to relax
  12. Thank you all for your response. He sent me a message this morning and asked if I could take him to the grocery store, and I said no. I suggested two grocery stores in our area that offer delivery. He was not happy camper, but I do not care.
  13. It was late night and I was thinking about 🍷.
  14. He knows that I am not payed to do that, but I think that he has some kind of mental (or maybe ego) problems.
  15. I have no idea why his grocery trips are that long. Setting the time limit is a great idea. I would not have problem to leave him at the store.
  16. I instructed my son not to do it anymore.
  17. I am trying to help my 82 years old neighbor who broke her collar bone and can't drive. Her son (57 years old) is not driving. He is refusing to pay traffic ticket that he got 15 years ago, and for that reason he is not driving. At least that is the story I was told. Today, I went to pick up my neighbor and drive her to the hair saloon so they can wash her hair. Poor lady can't wash it at home because of her shoulder. Her son decided to go with us to do grocery shopping. I had no problem with that. I left her at the saloon, and went across the street to drop off the cat carrier to the vet. She had her to leave her cats at the vet's office for few days, and they let her to borrow carrier to bring all cats back home at the same time. Her son decided to take time and shop for 1 hour and 45 minutes. My quick and fast trip to hair stylist became almost two hours long. I called him three (3) times asking him to hurry up because I had some errands to do. What really upset me is the fact that when I opened the trunk so he can get stuff out of the car, he opened garage and looked at me waiting for me to get their groceries out of the car. When he realized that I am not going to do it he told my son (who was with us all that time) to take bags out of the car and in their kitchen. My son did it not because of him, but because of his sweet mother. My neighbor is a very nice lady, and she pretty much depends on us right now. We are the only one that are close to her (as neighbors). By my nature I am not rude, disrespectful or ignorant, but I can't tolerate this kind of behavior. What would you do?
  18. I have thyroid nodules. One was covering the right lobe of my thyroid (5cm long). Biopsy was negative. Endocrinologist said that is genetic and it's autoimmune disease. He also said that nodule will not shrink. I asked him if I should change diet or lifestyle, and he said no. I was desperate to find the solution. I asked Google and it pointed to Anthony William (@medicalmedium on Instagram), and my life was changed forever. Six months later I did another ultra sound and it showed that the biggest nodule shrank 1.6cm. Some smaller nodules were gone. The only thing I did was.... I changed my diet. Started following Anthony's protocol from his book "Healing Thyroid". My endocrinologist was a bit disappointed with the results, he acted kinda offended. He did not ask what I was doing, but I told him anyway, 😄 He told me:"I guess that you won't need me anymore. From now on you gonna see my NP." I replied:"I don't think so, and left the office". Found a new doctor who supports my efforts to get better.
  19. Good morning! It's been crazy week at our house too. DONE Coffee Check emails Check DS's school work from yesterday Start crock pot Start load of laundry Make breakfast (waffles) TO DO School with my DS Drive my neighbor to hairstylist Return carrier to the vet office Grocery shopping
  20. Instead of water I use orange juice. The sauce gets thick as it cools, but if you like it really thick add one envelope of gelatin. I usually make it day before.
  21. I would start with blood work (B12, iron, vitamin D, and thyroid hormones TSH 3 and TSH 4). I would say that 75% of what you described happened to me two years ago. I did not feel pain or sick, but could not remember anything. I would drive my son to karate or piano lesson, and asked him if I stopped on stop sign near the house. There were conversations I had, and I did not remember. At that time post-it was my best friend. I was so bad that I had to write on the paper to call my mom. I felt tired, but not really sick. My thyroid numbers were in the range of normal (a bit higher for my age, but still normal), but TSH3 and TSH4 were not. I was anemic because my body can't absorb vitamin B12 from the food. Iron was 2 and if I remember well lowest normal number is 15. I was repeating words because I could not concentrate on what I was talking and repeating gave me chance to sort my thoughts. I was always cold, and I had problems with breathing, excessive yawning and sleeping. I also had anxiety problem and severe panic attacks. I have never had those kind of problems before. My heart bit was very high too, but blood pressure was normal. Everything was a bit messed up, but I was not feeling sick enough to go to check what is going on. I blamed my age... I am 49.
  22. I am giving up on Wednesday. Woke up at 7.00AM instead of 6.00AM. made freezer breakfasts for next week made lunch checked email half school is done I am ready to go back to sleep. TO DO: piano lessons karate at 6.00PM more school make dinner check my neighbor to see if she needs anything (she broke her collar bone) take Ted (my neighbor's son) to grocery store I just realized that i didn't have my coffee today. I guess I am going to cancel everything. It's coffee time for me.☕

  24. I want.... I need.... I dream about.... at least fifteen hours of not interrupted sleep (not going to bathroom in the middle of the night, no son's asthma attacks, no neighbors car alarm....) just plain, good, old sleep.
  25. Check your kidney function. I was thinking that dark circles are decorating my face because I am not getting enough sleep. It turned out to be the problem with my kidney function. 😞
