Are you able to compare and contrast this to Elta MD UV Elementts? Or even the Australian gold botanicals? (It seems like I remember you posting in other skin care threads!). I love, love my Elta MD, but man it’s pricey! I probably won’t ever give it up, but maybe…
I do love skin care stuff!
Australian Gold was my go-to for several years. I liked it, but I seemed to be getting clogged pores from it. I switched to Cōtz a few years ago when AG was getting harder to find in the light shade. When I switched, the texture of my skin improved. (Could’ve been the switch or could’ve been age/hormones…?) Cotz Flawless Complexion doesn’t feel as heavy as AG, nor does it have as much tint, imo. The tint literally just counters any white cast (for me, anyway — I’m fair to light). But since I use powder foundation over it, that’s fine. For a while I used Cōtz Prime and Protect — it’s heavier and definitely silicone-y. Definitely has that primer-feel and the tint is heavier/slightly darker. But I’m cheap and you get double the product with Flawless Complexion, so that’s what I stuck with. (Their website has a tiny sample set of 4 sunscreens for $10. It’s worth trying if you’re curious.)
I’m pretty sure I tried a few Elta MD but I can’t remember which specifically. There are several that get recommended. That said, I must’ve not loved it because I moved on to other things.

That is pretty good. It’s nice to see Ben Affleck with something other than a frown, lol.

Isn’t it great to find something that works great for your skin? I have been using Cōtz Flawless Complexion (fair tinted mineral) for a few years — I used to be able to buy it at Ulta, but they no longer sell it. (Boo! Now I have to order online.)

Never had it. I’m not opposed to the ingredients (except maybe the peas). I have seen one at a potluck before…but why waste valuable plate space with lettuce when jello salads exist?

That is scary, to be suddenly so sick from something small and unnoticeable. Best wishes for a quick recovery.

I tried the Baleaf ones from Amazon, but I actually liked this brand better (I’m bottom heavy and these fit better and were more flattering):

These are good but a bit thick.
They’re slick on the inside but a little fuzzier feeling on the outside (I generally don’t like slick-swimsuit feeling leggings.) They’re definitely for exercise and have compression.- 1

The Unexpected Cheddar! We love it - very crystal-y.
We also love the “Soft & Juicy” mangoes (dried fruit aisle).

I tried a sample set from Lume during the pandemic (boredom shopping). I never found out if the product was affective because I thought the product itself was stinky. Every scent I tried…just a little gross.

Following. I’ve posted before about my teen’s health issues, which sound similar to what you’re describing (painful cycles, joint pain/hypermobility). Dd also has tummy troubles. We were referred to a pediatric ob/gyn and they basically just said to take Aleve. And blood tests at her last checkup came back fine.
I’d love to hear what next steps you take because none of our providers have given any next steps or referrals to further figure this out (we’ve been asking for guidance for 2 years).

I just broke the last remaining sliver of my old formula BareMinerals Bare Pro pressed powder foundation. I’ve not read good things about the new formulation (I’ve not tried it).
I have been looking around for a potential replacement for months. I ordered the Baked & Brighten from Laura Gellar, but I haven’t received it yet.

The extent of my magpie knowledge comes from Bluey (“Curry Quest”). I’m not sure how accurate it is…but there is swooping involved. 😉

My mom and dad both drove up when I was in labor. Mom stayed a few days but had to go back to work. Dad stayed a week; did yard work and paid for lots of take-out.

Okay, so we’ve got some plans. Maybe it’s just that The End has snuck up on me, and I’m shocked at how little time is left. There was so much more we were supposed to do!!
She’ll get a 2024 tshirt and we’ll have a small photo shoot. The local high schools do senior picture yard signs displayed downtown, so we’ll do that, too. We’ve put off a trip to the art museum at the capitol for years, so we’ll do that. Maybe some sort of *small* graduation party (she’s spending spring break with her bf’s family halfway across the country, so that’s $$). I think she’s going to a public school prom with her bff. That’s all a start, right?

Did you do anything to make your child’s senior year special? I went to public school and there were soooo many events: proms, picnics, skip day, trips. Special T-shirt’s, rings, portraits…
And here we, with only one semester left in my oldest’s senior year, and I haven’t done anything. Feeling a bit like I let her down, even though she doesn’t know she’s missing anything.
Please share what you did or some ideas how to make these last few months special.

11 was 1991. Prime junk years.
Breakfast: cereal (fruit loops, frosted mini wheats), milk…or none at all.
Lunch: at school, things like pizza or other fairly gross, institutional foods. If I was home: meat and sides. Beef, chicken, seafood. Typical American fare (spaghetti, burgers, etc, but probably more seafood than typical because of our proximity to the water)
Dinner: my mom cooked a big noon meal for my farmer dad, so I’d have leftovers for my evening meal. Or a can of tuna, Chef Boyardee, etc.
Snacks: less than what my friends got but still things like chips, Swiss Rolls, oatmeal cream cookies (Little Debbie)
Eating out: pretty rare. Probably around this age is where we would go out with friends for lunch after church on Sunday. But not every week, and it wasn’t fast food but a local buffet-type place.

I do long for a good snow. Not ice and power outrages, but like 2 days worth of fun and then a melt away. Surely that’s not too much to ask, right?
(Sooo tired of rain…)

My SIL used to gift us a homemade cheesecake every Christmas, and she acted like she was granting this huge blessing upon us in doing so. In general, I like cheesecake but she lived/cooked in unsanitary conditions, plus she smoked so heavily that you could taste it in the food. She never let us decline, so we’d just dump it in the trash once we’d left her house.

A young lady I know recently was hired by a local university police force. They are paying her a salary while she is going to the training/school, and then she has a job when she finishes. She does have a degree from that university, but in a completely unrelated field. (She decided her interest was in uni police after she graduated.)

I know you said no college, but the local community college where my daughter takes classes has a paid track (basically like an internship) in machining. I wish my youngest would be interested in it. Maybe something like that? Paid a salary while in school (also paid for) and with a job lined up after a couple of semesters.

Eat some meatballs.
My favorite spoons are from IKEA (dragon, I think they’re called). Full disclosure: DH hates them, though.
We love to just wander! Just keep note as you go along, in case something catches your eye.

We’ve done Goldfish crackers and added them at the beginning.

I’ll bow out because I brought thoughts from a previous thread — I assumed this was the same estranged child that sent the Christmas card that gardenmom was thinking of sending “return to sender.” That was an assumption on my part; I apologize.
