  1. I thought Netflix recanted their statement because of the backlash (for U.S. users). Your account may be safe for now. https://www.pennlive.com/life/2023/02/netflix-mistakenly-posts-guidelines-on-password-sharing-crackdown.html?outputType=amp 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I have no clue what’s going on. That article left me more confused.
  2. Yes! Kindergarten in ‘85. I totally remember Miss Aaaachooo.
  3. We “celebrated” by watching the Bill Murray movie. 😂
  4. Sorry, the renewing (purple lid, little container). I also use the SA cleanser and it’s holy grail status for me.
  5. So…I love CeraVe but I’ll just throw in my experience with the SA night cream. I’ve tried it 3 different times since it came out. The first time I used it several months (loved the texture and feel) but noticed more clogged pores. Eventually removed it from my routine and had improvement. As I’ve aged, I’ve added more oils/occlusives to my evening routine to combat dryness. Love oils, lol. I tried the CeraVe night cream twice again (a few years apart) and both times had breakouts. Obviously, ymmv (as with all skin care) but I just wanted to share a dissenting opinion (as someone who wanted to love it and who uses multiple other products from the brand). 😉
  6. (That missing space is annoying me, though…)
  7. I just watched a video about the 1981 invisible racecar fire. It was from the methanol fuel, which also has colorless and smokeless flames. Several people seriously injured, running around flapping at invisible fire. Scary as heck.
  8. 26 months is too new to be broken! That’s what scares me about buying a new one. Everyone talks of how new appliances just don’t last. My dishwasher that just died was from the 90s! And it worked perfectly fine until it just stopped.
  9. That is something to celebrate! I’ve been getting by okay without a dishwasher, but there was one meal recently that seemed to generate a dozen dirty pots. I missed it then. Also, my hands have been so dry this winner from hand-washing everything. I might have to start using gloves.
  10. Am & PM: CeraVe SA wash, Eczema Honey Witch Hazel & Honey spray (as toner), CeraVe PM face lotion A couple times a week: CeraVe Resurfacing retinol. I also sometimes add Badger Balm Rose Beauty Balm after moisturizer, if I feel like it. It’s very heavy, so it’s better (for me) in the winter (it’s a waxy balm). I just ordered the Resist BHA from Paula’s Choice so I’ll be giving it a try. I love skincare stuff, so I’m never content, but I have to be careful because I’ve become sensitive to certain things as I’ve aged. Used to be oily/acne prone but now I’m more combo/dry and sensitive. I recently ordered the Eight Saints sample kit (after seeing tempting ads) but wasn’t impressed with anything. Drying and highly fragranced (smelled like lemon cleaning product).
  11. 🤷‍♀️ Both of mine use it. They’re not strong math students, so we started it at Math 7. I have one in Geometry and one in Alg 1.
  12. Yep. The hospital near where I grew up closed a few years ago. It was a huge Thing; protests and grassroots campaigns and politics and brother vs brother. It eventually closed and now the closest hospital for my parents is 1 hr away. The closest “good” hospital is 1.5 hrs. That’s scary.
  13. I love it and I’ve watched the completed seasons several times. I haven’t started the current season (have the Christmas special recorded). It highlights how some things have really changed (medically) in recent decades…and how some things haven’t. I enjoy some storylines more than others, some characters more than others. Some episodes are unbearably sad. But I still think they’re worth watching (and the books worth reading, though they’re more sad).
  14. I left the bikini train in my 20s. No regrets. Several brands have “modern briefs” or “low-rise briefs,” which are full coverage at the seat (yay!) and hitting just *below* the belly button. Those are my favorite, so (of course!!) they are getting harder and harder to find. Every time I settle on a brand and style, it gets discontinued.
  15. I think (iirc) that Crash Course is for HS AP History… (like a crash course to prep for the test?) I could be wrong.
  16. They’re still quite young. He could go back to work for a decade so that he could get the credits to qualify for social security. They’d also have the money to do some weekend traveling. And he’d have some purpose to his days, if that’s what’s missing. 🤷‍♀️
  17. Could this be them blowing through their assets so they’d qualify for something like govt aid? Just a thought.
  18. Oh wow. Idk what romanticized book or show they've been influenced by, but (for most) camping life isn’t care free or inexpensive. Sheesh, have they priced campgrounds at all? They’re not inexpensive, even at state parts. And yep, camper repairs and etc. Yikes. I suppose they don’t have enough money to finance the dream without selling the house? Could they rent the house out for a year or two and try the traveling on a smaller scale? Then they have a *real* backup plan.
  19. I would’ve appreciated a designated mint-opening moment growing up. I well-remember the agony of trying to open a peppermint during a quiet sermon and not be noisy about it.
  20. I know, but I am out of honey, so there’s that… (There would be weeping and gnashing of teeth if my kids knew I could’ve made baklava and chose not to…) ETA: but now I’m seeing that Turkish baklava doesn’t need honey, so hmmmm….
  21. Sent DH to the store to grab refrigerated pie crusts. (I cook a lot of stuff, but I have no desire to delve into homemade pastries!) He came home with phyllo sheets. I’m trying to figure out if I can use it for my purposes or if I should make something else with it (like baklava, yum! I have a ton of walnuts leftover from holiday baking, so it’s totally a possibility). I’m making keema/beef curry for dinner tonight, but I wanted dough to make it into small hand pies for tomorrow’s leftovers meal. I was going to use pie crust or puff pastry for that…but phyllo might work? Maybe a flakier (more annoying to work with) version but still tasty? Thoughts?
  22. All of my daughter’s biopsies were done by the radiologist. Then they’d pass it through a little window to the pathologist. Then all those results would go to our ENT/surgeon, who’d discuss with us.
  23. I guess for me, right now it comes down to: Would I rather wash everything on HOT or everything on COLD? Which is least likely to damage my clothes? (because it’s not convenient at all to switch the hoses back and forth — to give you an idea, this is the first time in 17 years we’ve unhooked those hoses. They’re behind the washer in a closet. It was an ordeal…) (I’m hoping to make do until the next big holiday sale. Presidents’ Day? Memorial?)
