  5. My mom & grandma both have a Gleaner Life Insurance policy on my kids. Dh still has a Thrivent policy on him that his parents started & still pay on. I believe my mom has a pilicy on me from somewhere as well. Plus what we have through dh's work. Which is quite a bit.
  6. They had a pain scratch on their bumper and I have a small dent below my gas cap on the drivers side, so it was obviously their fault. We exchanged info. She did go to her insurance agent (she was a small foreign gal that hardly spoke english, so I didn't know what would happen. FF, last week, got a call from her insurance and had to get an estimate on our van. Ours is a 2001 Chrysler Town & Counrty, not likely going to do anything to even fix it, but now what should I expect from the insurance. Will they just send us a check for the estimate? Expect us to have it fixed if they pay? Anyone ever been through this?
  7. I have not read the replies, I am in Indiana, I now a family that homeschools and has produced several doctors, they all started at a community college, transferred to a four year school and then went on to the school in the Caribbean for pre-med. Several are successful doctors now and one is in the Caribbean currently and they have another one coming up that plans to be a doctor. This family has 13 children and I think at least they will have 5 doctors after the kids are all finished?

  12. Dd took a college class & has a book about resumes and cover letters, it says to never say to whom it may concern. I'm getting ready to apply for a county job, you have to apply through a website, and I have no idea who the human resource department will actually send the resume to. So what do you do in that case? Also in this book it says to list the education after objective , I've already got it at the end of my resume, I graduated in 97 with a BS, so it wasn't recently. Thoughts?
  13. So many things, weight and amount of alcohol really make a difference and the amount of time that the alcohol is consumed. Like someone said, everyone is different.
  14. Thank you, it wasn't showing up on my phone, but when I looked at it online, I found it. Do you have a recommendation on where to start, he's done a writing class in our co-op with IEW and can write fairly well, but probably needs more help with organization.
  15. I need a composition class or similar for a 17 year old, prefer it to be done on his time and submit writings and not cost arm & a leg. I thought soverbos had comp, but I'm not seeing it. Any other suggestions?
  16. I asked about Purple the other day, but have since learned about Tuft & Needle from Amazon, it's about 1/2 the cost & is rated high. Anyone have one or anything similar. Thanks.
  17. Just wondering how you like it if you do.
  18. I have my phone on do not disturb, it's not that hard to figure out and no, I don't think it's rude to get a text late, sometimes people remember something and that's when they send it. I will often send a text late to a friend that I know doesn't care or someone that also has theirs on DND. People need to get over it and learn how to use theirs phones or if it bothers them, don't sleep right next to your phone.
  19. I find this interesting because I have homeschooling friends that both have joined the Army and Air Force with students that were homeschooled without an accredited diploma.
