  1. Thanks for the book series suggestions! Unfortunately I don't know if she has a DS or ipod, also can't be gift cards, has to be actual gifts. I'm shopping for someone else and I've got a handle on every other age group, but don't know anything about preteen girls....
  2. Hi, Can anyone give me recommendations for what 10-11yr girls are interested in ? I don't know her at all. Price range would be up to $50 and ideally would be able to get a few gifts for that price. I would also like to know what book series might be good for that age range. Thanks for the help!
  3. I bought two storage ottomans at Target, love them! The tops flip over and can be either a coffee table type surface or a padded seat.
  4. Actually it works great for grinding wheat berries, we use it a few times a week for grinding. I bought mine used a few years ago on ebay for under $300 and I love it because it is the old stainless steel carafe. I do all sorts of things in mine but its primary use it grinding wheat.
  5. I'm not sure if netflix has it, but Gilmore Girls would be a good option
  6. I am loving it too! I love the premise but almost wish it were a movie or miniseries because I want them all to get their happy ever afters back NOW! :D
  7. I did this recently too, and am loving it! I haven't cooked anything (including breakfast and lunches) in over a week. I follow this website http://www.onceamonthmom.com It took several months of watching her website to find a meal plan that looked like it would work for my whole family
  8. From my experience, and we only eat actual free range chicken, free range turkey's do not taste nearly as good as the typical store bought turkey. They are not as plump, or tender.
  9. Have you read the book Mothering Multiples? It was a huge help to me. I did love my double nursing pillow, I used a boppy in the beginning but once they were past the tiny newborn stage, the twin nursing pillow worked much better. Multiple bouncy seats in different parts of the house were very helpful too.
  10. Do you geocache? We started this summer, and dd will be getting a kid friendly gps for geocaching Also, bigger bike and legos
  11. Not the iphone, but my itouch, I believe the screen size is the same. I read nightly in bed on it, because the screen is back lit, it doesn't keep DH awake and I don't have to use a bulky reading light, I agree the only annoying thing is constantly flipping pages. I was highly disappointed when I found out the actual Kindle wasn't backlit! (I do love my kindly anway)
  12. Yes, the handbook of nature study site is wonderful! There is so much there though it can be overwhelmingly wonderful :)
  13. Thanks for the input. We have always used the the 1/2 levels (cause honestly I didn't realize they weren't intended to be used routinely....) I don't think they were a waste of time for my kids though because they still needed to work through them. I had intended to go straight from 4 to 5,and 4 was very easy for them, but it feels like we are "skipping" something, even though we aren't :)
