My poor son appears to have the evil virus. He's only worried about missing school (public), I'm worried about landing in emergency room.

Day 3 of public high school and I already hate it :(

Not happy with sons public school schedule. Gym twice a day, yet no history class.

If you're not incorporating Queen into your Galileo lesson, you're missing some of the goodness of homeschooling.

The big news here: We're going back to homeschooling next year! Yippee!!!

I was so proud of myself. I almost made it through February without a melt down. And then today happened.

DD just found out she was cast as Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream! I have a feeling school plans will go out the window today!

I'm so suggestible. Browsing through Cyber Monday sales, I see a "gourmet melon knife," "cuts thick rind on melon, like a hot knife through butter." Suddenly I've always wanted one. Then I start thinking, isn't cutting through a melon with a sharp knife always like cutting through butter? All shopping tabs now closed.

Said goodbye to my sweet companion of 7 years. My Lucy was the best doggy, always happy and she loved everyone. There is an empty spot in my heart and home but she is no longer suffering.

Doing a tad better. Maybe it is because we passed the point of no return (literally).

Taking our lab in to be put down today. Sad and second guessing myself. She's been a faithful friend.

I have my first-ever mammogram tomorrow. At least it's just a baseline, but I'm not looking forward to it.

My doggy is in stage 3 Congestive Heart Failure, SIL is non-responsive in hospice with stage 4 melanoma, my mom just had a heart cath and didn't tell anyone...looking forward to bedtime

Text from a good friend: "Just did an open house at the local elementary school. Holy hell, when can you come over and teach us how to homeschool?"

I am seriously fed up with the dreary weather. I want sunshine! The lack there of is making us all cranky.
