  1. I liked this one, too:

I have to give this only three stars because I didn’t get to fully experience this giant ball. Unfortunately my wife saw the words “Giant Balls” and impulse buys faster than poop from a goose. This thing shows up on my front porch and I thought it would be a good idea to fill it with helium and see how high she bounces. The big ball loving wife picks up several bottles from the party store and I sent my first born out to get it filled up. The boy and the ball haven’t been seen since and I’m starting to get a little worried.

  2. Read the reviews for this. They are absolutely hilarious! I woke dh up laughing!

"Do not buy if you live anywhere that might be described as “windy” or “gusty” or even “just a little breezy”. Light enough to reach "Holy God! Where's it going to land?" altitudes. "

That seems weird to me. What if someone  had twins?

One twin could use it the first 2 years and the other twin could use it the second 2 years. That's pretty much what my friend's dh did for the first 2 of their 3 girls. I don't know the in's and out's of it and was completely unaware of it until we moved to TX and dd started applying for college. Unfortunately, dh was ineligible.

    I like m&ms

Mine were all pretty easy to potty train. I attribute this to the kids, though, and not me.

I have to laugh, though. My kids (ages 26, 23, and 21) all remember I used M&M mini's to reward them each time they went: 1 mini for pee, 2 for poo. My oldest dd told me a couple of years ago that she'd just seen a M&M mini for the first time since we potty trained and she was amazed at how that teeny, tiny piece of candy was so motivating. It was a funny conversation to have. I was amazed she remembered them in connection with pt.

  5. My dd chose to limit her honors courses when she returned to school in 9th grade. After about a week, she changed her schedule to include as many honors classes as possible. The regular classes weren't challenging, but the biggest issue for dd was that the students in the classes didn't take learning seriously. The teacher couldn't teach because the students wouldn't listen, so dd couldn't hear the teacher to learn. This was in one of the best public schools in the area. DD loved her honors classes in part because she was with like minded students who were interested in the topics and wanted to learn.

AP Human Geography is supposed to be one of the easier AP's to take. It's a good one to start with.

My sister says her daughter could have used it but only one can use it at a time. I have no idea if that is correct. She was obviously wrong about it being expired.

I think that might be correct. My friend's dh split his between his 2 oldest dd's. It's been a few years since we've talked.

Thank you. I am asking because my son would like to get a bird as a pet. We don’t want any PTFE and would prefer an all-stainless interior air fryer if those are available. I could possibly email their customer support to ask for the specifics.

This is the info on the back of the owner's manual in case it helps.

  8. I read it as it being yet another difficult time for you. We sometimes share our struggles here, so it didn't feel out of place. There are many women here who have had more than their fair share of grief. I wish I could offer you something other than virtual hugs.

You can hear the fan, but it's not very loud. The top gets hot, though they sell a cutting board you can put on top to help. It was $30, so I chose not to buy it. The oven needs 4 inches on either side and top for ventilation, which I wasn't aware of until I unpacked it.

Quoting myself to add info about the hot top. In the owner's manual, Breville refers to it at a warming tray and, with the exception of the Breville Bamboo Cutting Board and Serving Tray that fits on the top, suggests not storing items on it.

Does the interior of this model of the breville have a coating? If so, could you let me know what material it is made of? I am unable to get this information in all my googling and zooming into pictures of it. Thank you!

The owner's manual says th einterior features a non stick coating, though from what I see, it's just the sides and top, but not the heating elements or the removable tray. I would be glad to take a picture if that would help. The owner's manual doesn't say specifically what it's coated with.

I'm thinking about the Breville.  My kitchen is small so I really want to think this through!

Is it loud when air frying?

Does the top get extremely hot in use?

Yes, that's it. I think it was available through Amazon and Bed, Bath, and Beyond as well as WS when I purchased it.

I sometimes lust for a Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro which has dehydrator and slow cook modes (I'd use those), but it is larger (small turkey size) rather than the whole roast chicken size we currently have (and in our kitchen that's not a plus).

This is what we have. We have space in the kitchen for it, so the extra size isn't an issue. It's just 2 of us at home right now. I was trying not to use the regular oven because we've had 100*+ days and need to reduce electrical usage between 11-7. I love being able to use an oven that doesn't heat up the house. I've had it since just after Mother's Day and usually use just the air fryer, though I've also baked cookies in it.

that the adult living at home years are the worst. They weren’t ,kidding   We raised our kids on a steady diet of discussing and working out conflict and processing emotional stuff.

It was much easier once they moved out permanently. Our marriage also strengthened once the kids were out. They were one of our biggest sources of conflict.

  15. Though I miss the day to day variety with my kids when they were home, I agree that watching them develop their wings and fly is pretty exciting. The interactions are different and they need me to listen and ask clarifying questions more than offer advice. I've also been able to tell myself that good or bad, their decisions are their decisions and there's not a lot I can do about it. That's been very freeing.

Dh, though, is sure they're headed down the wrong path. At least he only laments to me about his concerns rather than taking them to the kids. While it's very tedious to me, his ability to bite his tongue with them has improved his their relationships. (And given them the opportunity to prove him wrong, even if they have no idea that's what they're doing.)

  16. It's hard because the rules (very loose definition) you made as a parent all changed and sometimes it's hard to know how they've changed and what the new expectation is. And frequently, the young adult doesn't know, either, but chafes at the old expectations. It sometimes requires a lot of humble communicating.
