  1. I've loved ER since I was a teenager. After all these years of looking for a show to fill the hold left in me when ER ended, I'm finally very hopeful about The Good Doctor. I think catching old ER episodes on tv is going to be your best bet if your library doesn't have them and you don't want to buy them.
  2. North Dakota. The couple does not currently live there or have farming family members, so I'm pretty sure this is a barn converted into a reception hall.
  3. I'm still stressing about this. I ordered a couple solid color dresses from Amazon. Plain leggings under? Patterned? And now I need a coat and boots. And clothes for the rest of the family. 😩 And we live in an area that gets down to about 60 in the winter. I hate buying all this stuff that will only get used once!
  4. I've had best luck with the avocados at Costco.
  5. It's the first weekend in November. I am assuming the barn will be heated, but for sure the outdoor ceremony won't be.
  6. Any suggestions?? I think the reception is being held in a barn.
  7. Just want to second this. Not quite as fantasy as A Wrinkle In Time, but very similar in story telling and great for a high schooler.
  8. We freeze the layers and then ice them while they're still frozen. So easy!
  9. Thanks everyone! I'll take a look at these.
  10. I bought my seven year old lefty the same cursive I used with my daughter (Pictures in Cursive) but I'm finding it (and many others) isn't going to work well. He's supposed to copy the letters/words on the same line as the example. The problem is that his writing hand covers the example! Are there any cursive books where the example is on the line above where they are supposed to write? Thanks!
  11. I need something nice and light. Especially since I like to read before I go to bed. The series I'm always going back to are Anne of Green Gables, LM Montgomery's other books, James Herriot, Narnia, things like that. Must be available on Kindle! What do you recommend?
  12. My three year old can go three hours, but not four or five hours. I mean, he can, but not happily. But definitely three hours. We normally have six hours between meals and at some point he needs a snack.
  13. If you don't care about the music you could just buy the noise canceling ear protection. Like the ones worn at shooting ranges.
  14. The Wizard of Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/0805002219/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_uEHHzb6F8HPJX
  15. I read the young readers edition of Boys in the Boat and really enjoyed it. It took a little while to get into it but in general it was a good read.
  16. Maybe something with tuna? Like pasta salad, or tuna melts on english muffins. You can even get mayo packets which would be shelf stable. Beans and rice.
  17. I'm casual. Yoga pants, shorts, t shirts. Often nice jeans for church, or one of the maxi skirts I don't really like. We're going to be attending a baptism and since we're the godparents I feel like I really should look more put together. What on earth should I be looking for that I can get by next weekend? I'm roughly in an XL so, yeah. Thanks!
  18. My kids love the Henry Huggins audiobooks. But they're definitely not science or history!
  19. When my little one did that it ended up being hand foot and mouth.
  20. My three year old had it last month. It took us a few days to get it diagnosed and he had a fever for several days. After he was on antibiotics it was probably three more days before the fever went away. I think the bacteria just had so much time to build up that it took extra time to control.
  21. How about tacos? Make chicken or pork in the crock pot and then shred. Then deliver with tortillas and taco fixings.
  22. We sometimes like to vary the length of audiobooks we listen on long rides. My kids enjoy listening to the Akimbo books, which are about an hour long.
  23. The Read Aloud Revival blog usually has a tab for good Audible deals.
