  1. We dress everyday, even if I know we are not leaving the house. Staying in PJs makes me feel lazy and unproductive. If I feel lazy, I will be lazy.
  2. We tried a baked chicken dish tonight that was amazing. We also had stuffed graPe leaves, jasmine rice, and roasted cauliflower. It was a good night!!
  3. I love that you did this with your kids all year. What a fantastic idea!
  4. Yes they do. I am an hour north of Cincinnati. It gets very cold and it snows.
  5. We used CLE math through sixth grade. This year, seventh grade, we are using Derek Owens pre algebra. My son enjoys it very m much. The first chapter was review and the second chapter was mostly review. We are just finishing it up. I definitely feel CLE prepared him well for it.
  6. I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you all.
  7. I have no advice. Just want you to know you aren't alone. {{HUGS}}
  8. I'm no help because I like the hairstyle you already have. It's so wavy and pretty. Mine just hangs there. lol Of the three pics, I like the last one best. Have you had bangs before? If you aren't used to them, you may hate them because they are in your face all the time.
  9. :iagree: This has been our experience, too. We have used book 2 and 3 and it does not skip any part of the Golden Children's Bible.
  10. Rosie, I cried when I read your post. I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I can't even begin to understand what you are going through, and I am sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. My house is a single story red brick on a concrete slab.
  11. Oh Rosie, I am so sorry for your loss.
  12. I vote for go! That would be such an incredible opportunity.
  13. We would like to send a card. Please PM me the address!
  14. 9th dd- 8.4 on your test and she missed 3 on grade 10 test (and 2 on grade 8) 6th ds- 8.4 on your test and he missed 3 on grade 10 test( and 1 on grade 8) preschool dd - 2.0 on your test and on the NRRF, she missed 3 in level 3 and 1 in level 2 One thing I find interesting in all this is that my 15 dd is special needs and though she could read the words, comprehension is somewhat limited. Thanks for letting us beta test for you. I'm not sure I understand the results, but it was fun! lol
  15. Is there a link for the NRRF test? My kids took yours, but I can't find the other. THANKS!
  16. Thanks everyone. I tossed the food and the crockpot. :)
  17. I didn't know that about the veggies. Yes, the chicken had partially turned white from the high heat. Sounds like I need to throw it away. Thanks!
  18. Yesterday, I put 3 lbs of chicken breasts in the crockpot, along w/ veggies and stuff. Cooked on high for 30 min. and than changed to low. 3 hours later, I discovered the crockpot was cold and nothing cooked. I'm pretty sure the crockpot must have gone kaput when I switched to low heat. Anyway, I put the crock in the fridge and am trying to decide whether to throw it away or cook it up today. My instincts say throw it away, but my wallet says 3 lbs of chicken ain't cheap! :) So, Hive, what would you do? Thanks!
  19. Normal range is less than 4. Optimum level is 1. Please take her to a specialist or at least get a second opinion. Did they just check TSH? How about free T4 and T3? Hugs to you.
  20. My great grandfather was in that earthquake. He was just a little tyke. Their house was at the top of a hill and it was the only house on their street in one piece after the quake.
  21. These stories are all so great! We haven't found anything too scandalous, unless you count g g grandparents who secretly baptized Native American babies. On my dad's side, we are related to Wild Bill Cody or Bill Hickok(I can never remember which). How does ancestry.com work?
