    I rarely engage in small talk because most of it seems pretty worthless. When I have something to say, I will say it. I don't need to hear myself (or anyone else) talk "just because". I guess that means I don't have a "personality". To the question, "What is your disposition type?", I was tempted to answer "nasty". Might not be far wrong.

    Just because your family made decisions that put you in a better financial situation does not create an obligation to "share" with the rest of the family. Your Dh has nothing to feel guilty about.

    I think I have good relationships with my adult children. To me the key is viewing them as fellow adults, not as grown up children. I try to treat them with the respect I would want from another adult. They do not also make the same choices that I would, but that is their prerogative and not my place to meddle. I try to keep my thoughts and advice to myself unless it is requested.

    Season 7 of the original series had a different producer than the earlier seasons and it shows. The reboot will have the original producer.

    I agree with this! It would bug me if everyone got a new glass for each drink, regardless of where the glass was put when done.I also disliked the impression (not sure if it was implied in the the article or just my impression) that *women* care about silly things like used glasses by the sink but men have more substantive concerns. Those kind of broad stereotypes generally come across as annoying.

    I think that the logical thing to do is to stop expecting your Dh to respond in emotionally healthy ways. And he should thank his lucky stars that he has you, because many would have kicked him to the curb long ago.

    This falls under my general dislike of posting distressed or embarrassing pictures of children. I think it fails to treat children as individuals deserving of respect. My rule of thumb is, if you wouldn't want a particular picture of yourself made public, don't do it to your children.
