  1. Omma can you elaborate on the 4 quadrant approach to solving math problems? sounds like an excellent idea for my daughter who neglects to show her work and help herself think through problems thoroughly :001_smile:
  2. I am so sorry that your Dad passed away. Praying comfort and peace for you and your family, and special prayers for your mom. Blessings, Sharon
  3. Thanks Kareni, I figured that the admissions staff can view the letters together since the pastor knows her character and the prof knows her academic strength. I'll give a call to each college to see how they want this. Thanks
  4. I posted this on the College forum but I figure someone here might know---My dd submitted her portion of the common app and invited me to send in the school info. Some of the schools want 2 letters of rec and she's asked her chem prof at the CC and our pastor to write them. I hope this isn't a dumb question but how should the pastor fill it in? As a counselor? Most of their questions are N/A and I thought a real letter would be better to send in via snail mail but the Common App site says you either do it ALL online or ALL paper and snail mail, NOT BOTH. Can/Should Pastor click "opt out" and then just send hardcopy letters to each school? Thanks for any insight Sharon

  6. Nance, I haven't read all the posts but my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for your pain---physical and soul. :grouphug:
  7. She looks really cute! I think it came out nice.
  8. Dedicate the whole thing to the Lord again. Ask him to anoint you and your children. Ask God what to focus on and what to skip, what does he want. Expect specific answers. Give thanks in advance. Let His peace fill you. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13 Use your anxiety as a barometer for how much you're trusting. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  9. It's amazing how the color of her hair would affect the opinion of the campers/families---but sadly it does. She will not love the Lord any less nor be any less approved by Christ with purple hair. Went through this same thing with my 16yo though. check out a testimony from Kim Walker of Jesus Culture and what she has to say about the many looks her hair has gone through http://onlyloveremains.com/blog/?p=19 :)
  10. Hi Shiny, I prayed for you and your family. God hears our prayers and helps us when we turn to him. He will redeem the situation---so be at peace.:grouphug:
