  1. Thank you for that reminder. I will reread my Tree of Life catalog :)

  5. I love SOTW, WP, MFW, SL, ... but whatever shall I do about Canadian content for 1700-1850+ ?! I have not found anything that looks as interesting as Homeschool in the Woods, History Pockets, and others that have such fun projects about American history. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Louisbourg picture book: There Have Always Been Foxes by Maxine Trottier Plains of Abraham read-aloud: Drummer Boy For Montcalm by Wilma Pitchford Hays
  7. Thanks :001_smile: Sometimes I want confirmation or correction. It can be stressful when dc look to me as authority in so many subject areas.
  8. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster is a funny book that teaches the importance of letters and numbers. Lots of funny puns and literary terms.
  9. Are ALL flowering plants angiosperms? Even flowers that grow from bulbs, like crocuses?

  11. How do you handle the study of genes, DNA, dominant and recessive genes, etc? One of dc is very sensitive and I don't want to upset him. We have done an overview of DNA, and he has already begun to compare himself with siblings.

  13. I am looking for resources, coloring pages and/or worksheets for this topic. Hoping someone has already found this as I can't seem to. :001_huh:
  14. So now we have memorized the chant and know what it means, but when do we dig into the actual types of KPCOFGs?! In our nature notebooks we draw the plant/animal/mineral with common and Latin names. Now I would like to list KPCOFG like drawings for univ bio lab, BUT where do I find this info easily?
  15. Which chapters in SOTW3 "go with" Jules Verne, Jane Austen, Herman Melville, and Jonathan Swift?
  16. I am getting ready to begin lessons again and I always seem to go into hyper-organize mode this time of year :) I tried to search, but sometimes it is just SO much easier to ask. I have piles of books that I am trying to sort. We are working through SOTW3 with AG this year. I wanted to separate books for older ds and read alouds. Question: Which chapters in SOTW3 do the following go with: John Bunyan Charles Dickens Jane Austen Jules Verne Thanks!
  17. Is there a poem or song to help memorize this?
