  1. This happened to me before, just email them with the email that had the download link and they will send you a new link. I think they told me the downloads expire or something.
  2. Hello! I'm also looking for someone to split this deal with. Please PM me if interested. :)
  3. Awesome find, thank you! I think my son will love this! I just found a 30% off code on the web for lulu.com. I'm using it on the .pdf files! COUPON: LULUVIP72398 Expires: Tomorrow, 12/5
  4. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this! Never seen it this low before!! I actually had to re-read the listing to make sure it is actually the hardcover book and NOT the kindle edition, and it is indeed the hardcover book! Hurry, as with all Amazon prices, it can change at any time! http://www.amazon.com/The-Well-Trained-Mind-Classical-Education/dp/0393067084/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  5. So GLAD to read this thread! I've been trying to decide if I'm finally going to learn how to swim this year or not! I'm embarrassed and scared (bad childhood experiences), but this thread has encouraged me!
  6. Yay! I just ordered these last week, glad other people really like them!
  7. LOVE the audios so much I gave away my book. Now we just listen to the audios and do the coloring pages. My son even listens to it at bedtime. :)
  8. :iagree: A ton of women on another forum I frequent swear by this stuff. It works, makes things super smooth and no pain or ingrown hairs. :coolgleamA:
  9. I hate spending ridiculous $ on haircuts but I refuse to go cheap and potentially get a horrible haircut. Youtube is awesome! I just watched a bunch and then decided I how I wanted to do it. A lot of the videos are of girls cutting their own hair. I have long, thick hair so I mainly just trim the ends and add layers. I also gave myself those trendy "side swept bangs" that I always wanted and they were surprisingly simple to do.
  10. Thanks so much for posting this, the comments are helpful. We are doing the same section and it's been difficult for my 7 year old, so we've been spending extra time on it. He can do it reasonable well with the c-rods and flats, but still needs help with the mental math portion. I have Math Mammoth as well, so I've been pulling out the corresponding worksheets and having him work through those. Should we simmer in this section for a while or just move on...any suggestions?
  11. Really interesting topic, enjoying the different perspectives. Don't think I could ever do it, but it was great to understand the rationale other people have.
  12. Congrats! Thanks so much for sharing, your pics brought tears to my eyes. God bless you and your family for bringing this little one into your family!
  13. Love "cold brewed" coffee, especially during the summer for iced coffee! The concentrate lasts in the fridge for a good while too.
  14. Thanks Tap! Maybe I AM going crazy...or maybe I read too many different forums :)
  15. I could have sworn that I read a post/thread on this forum about a cough/cold remedy that used radishes? Maybe I'm crazy...but on the chance that I DID read it here, could someone link that thread? I tried every search term I could think of and came up with nothing.
  16. I also think it's just been a horrible bug/flu season. This has been the WORST winter our family has ever been sick. I think we've passed around some cold/flu 4x since October, 3 weeks ago was the worst of it. My 2 year old was so sick he didn't talk or really eat for 2 days, we were so worried about him. I am praying for a better Spring and am loading them up with vitamins!
  17. :001_wub: reading up on what everyone has planned! 18. PagePlus lets you bring your own device, but they won't provide tech support. PagePlus is on the Verizon network, we just switched a couple months ago and now save $100 a month and still get 2GB of data each and unlimited talk/text. We use kittywireless.com and genius-wireless.com and didn't have any problems porting our numbers over or refilling each month. I really like it and wonder why I didn't switch sooner! I know people on Straight Talk (ATT) and they like it as well, but we have CDMA smartphones and Straight Talk is GSM(SIM cards). Plus Verizon has the best network where we live by far.
  19. I've been anxious to get my son started with piano lessons, but my DH has been more laid back about it. I've asked DH why he doesn't want to start teaching DS(6), and he replied it's more effective to cultivate an appreciation of music when they are young through constant exposure. DH and his dad believe a child has to be old enough to develop a passion for playing, otherwise it becomes a chore that the child will never appreciate/care for. I am not a musician, but took piano lessons for a year as a child and I hated it. I retained absolutely nothing. My husband's family, on the other hand, is full of extremely talented singers and musicians. His dad is a classically trained pianist and vocalist who didn't start formal lessons until he was almost 8. My husband sings, can play anything by ear on the piano/bass/guitar and he didn't start lessons until he asked his dad (age 7). His younger brother didn't touch an instrument until 17, took a few theory lessons from their dad and much to everyone's surprise, turned out to be an incredibly gifted pianist/guitarist. I read/hear about other kids starting lessons at age 3 and I start to panic about my kid being behind the 8 ball, lol! But everyone in DH's family who is a musician started of their own accord and is truly passionate about it, so I try to relax. :)
  20. The Seiko Coutura line is very nice. My husband had one for a long time and it held up beautifully, even after constant use. There are a few on Amazon for $100.
  21. I love vrbo.com! Amelia Island, FL is 30 mins from JAX. Daytona Beach is about 1 hr from SFB. Destin and Panama City Beach have the most beautiful beaches and cheap condos if you are willing to drive.
