  1. I haven't thought about it much. I still have 10 years left.
  2. Generally, my favorite is fiction. However, I've found myself deep in non-fiction more often than not recently. And I won't start a new fiction book that I've never read before. I just can't drag myself out of it, and I neglect my family shamefully. A non-fiction book or a fiction book I've read before are easier to put down if I'm interrupted.
  3. Ummmmmmm.....those look GOOD!!! Rainy days tend to make me think about making soup and homemade bread (so do snow days).
  4. Congratulations on your graduation to another level! ;)
  5. Yeah~mine left in March. I was sick for 4 1/2 weeks, got behind in grading, and just haven't been able to face the mountain ever since.
  6. The On My Own pages list the things on the main schedule page that a student should do on their own (as opposed to being read aloud to, etc). So it is partial repetition. The readings do go from book to book. I tend to read bigger chunks out of one or two books one day, then do another book or so the next day. We just prefer it that way. I look at what I need to cover for that week, and I group it how it works for me. But the guidebook gives me the goal for the week, and it is organized so I know what to do when, if that makes sense.
  7. A lot of our guests will remove their shoes when they come in, because they see all of our shoes by the door. I don't feel comfortable asking anyone to remove their shoes, and won't stress about it if they don't.
  8. I bought about 80 "forever" stamps last month. I de-test having to buy those .01 stamps (and I've had to do it frequently in the past!).
  9. I haven't ordered from them in a few years, but I always had very good experiences when I did order from them.
  10. I found it very easy to use. Just remember to NOT try and do everything that is scheduled. You will burn out very, very quickly. Choose from among the activities. We enjoyed our year with Animal Worlds, and just finished up American Story 1 a few weeks ago.
  11. Sure! Just look the other way while he's picking out a card, so it will be a surprise. What a sweet little guy!
  12. Odoban. I buy it at Sam's Club. It has gotten urine smells (puppy training), and cigarette smells out of clothes and furniture.
  13. Well, we've been enjoying Adam-12, Emergency, and CHiPs.
  14. Absolutely nothing. With the way the weather has been in MN this year, I'll be lucky to get my petunias out before June!!!
  15. I am very much like my mother. I would like to be more like her.
  16. Congratulations! Your daughter was very dedicated to sleep in the barn so many nights!
  17. I have a strawberry colored birthmark on the top of my head. Can't see it under my hair (could see it when I was a baby and didn't have much hair!).
  18. I do loan out curriculum, but only to friends that I KNOW will treat it well and return it in a timely fashion. Did I get this straight, though~someone ELSE volunteered your curriculum????? THAT seems totally inappropriate to me, and I would be VERY wary of that situation. I'm so sorry you are having trouble reclaiming your curriculum.
