  1. Market Basket is unusually cheap for a full selection grocery . We don’t have an equivalent store here unfortunately.

There is just Safeway (part of the same company as Shaw’s and similarly pricey), WF, Trader Joe’s, Costco, Sam’s Club, Lunardi’s (upscale gourmet) Nob Hill (upscale gourmet), Target, Walmart, and then Cost Plus Bargain Market that is cheap but highly unpredictable in its selection.

Yes, I so appreciate my Market Basket! But coconut aminos is .14 cheaper at Amazon (9,85) than MB.

  2. I don't buy staples or things I can buy cheaper at TJ's there. I do get hard to find items like anise star, garam masala and other hard to find spices at WF. I get Tamari there, which is wheat free soy sauce. It's nice to get special treats there too like coconut ice cream and good dark chocolate. If I forget to order supps online, it's my emergency store. It's nice as a cheap date night or coffee date spot too.

I now use coconut aminos instead of tamari. The coconut aminos was $3 more at WF than where I usually shop, Market Basket.

  3. Environmental safety at college, biotech or pharm. company. You probably need a certificate but with your science degrees and teaching experience I think you could break into this field. Large medical/research facilities need to comply with OSHA stds etc. which requires many of these people.

Find someone in your area and ask to shadow them for a day to see if this job would work for you and the job entry requirements.

  4. It’s a mindset and a way of looking at life. Constant learning and being aware of what is of value to you and spending or not accordingly.

I recommended Your Money or Your Life, The Millionaire Next Door and investing with Vanguard Group. Pay yourself first works for us (monthly withdrawal from checking into Vanguard index fund). It doesn’t have to be hard, just thoughtful.

  5. Imagine if the cats were also in the restaurants where you eat. Or riding in the child's seat of the shopping carts in your local grocery store, Wal-Mart, Target, Publix etc. I have seen a dog in a shopping cart at each of those stores. I have yet to see a cat. Regardless, neither one belongs in these public places. The only exception being an actual service animal. Even then a service animal would not be in a shopping cart.

I have not seen dogs (or cats ) in those places. Yup, no place for animals, only if they are in service.

My son, when little, was hurt by a cat (scratched in the face) but never a dog. I don’t trust dogs or cats ever, even my own, with children. You just never know about pets, or people.

  6. I take regularly:

    ONE multivitamin from pure encapsulations

    B Complex from Doctors Best

    Magnesium glycinate from pureencapsulations

I take more than the above but those I almost never miss.

I had an oil change in our family - only grass fed butter, organic coconut oil for cooking and CLEAN olive oil and avocado oil for cold use,

I suggest you read Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr Dale E. Bredesen for more info on supplements and eating for a long healthily life.
