Kids are in bed. Husband is asleep. These are the first moments I've had to myself since 4 am this morning.

Do you ever just hit reset on your day? We had a fun, but exhausting weekend, and we are all still recovering. Everyone is in quiet time. I hope to restart school this afternoon.

The baby is sleeping. My kitchen is clean. Washed, dried, and folded laundry is put away. The floors are vacuumed. And the older two are confined.... Oops, I meant the older two are resting their rooms. Today, I am grateful for quiet time.

Why does math take over an hour? Problem 1, "Can we go see the USS Constitution this summer?" "No, focus on your work." Problem 2, "Can I feed the baby?" "No, focus." Problem 3, "Will you teach me how to knit?" "Focus!" An hour later, I'm ranting. It's the mantra of the homeschool parent: "Just do your work!"
