I have been lurking here for a bit and commenting here and there, but I need some guidance and reassurance now.
I'm planning on starting year round school with my DD(5) on Monday. I had a plan laid out for 10 days. Printed out worksheets (handwriting), got some artsy stuff for the 4th of july ready, etc. I even went shopping for School supplies.
Well...now it has occurred to me that her ETC books (A, B, and C) are beneeth her ability. I realized it while I was planning but it didn't occur to me to skip it if she can already do all fo that stuff. I had been told that's what I needed so that's what I got.
Well I reordered her ETC books. I'm still waiting on her HWT books. I don't have any of that yet.
All I do have is her math and misc workbooks and the internet. So do I start her with what I have already? Will jumping around to different things confuse her? If I start teaching her the short 'a' sound will that mess her up when we do get ETC?
I'm freaking out a bit b/c this is it. I'm about to start this journey I'm not 100% positive I can do. She is already driving me nuts this summer...how do I think I'll do with her home ALL of the time? Will I loose my sanity???
Please talk me down off of this edge so I don't run and enroll her in the local kindergarten..rofl
Thanks
