  1. This is what I have bookmarked, http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p7Da6eWrcFyJks0fxU5stCw&gid=0. Is that what you're looking for?
  2. My daughter made the sounds instead of saying the name of the letter for awhile after learning phonics. I think it's normal to interchange sounds for the names, especially when it's new to her.
  3. I have a Joann fabrics teacher card. I think I filled out something online and they mailed it to me. It's 15% off.
  4. I live in Ohio and pay $936/year. We have a 2003 Saturn Ion and a 2007 Toyota Corolla. We have full collision on both cars, though one is paid off, and a $500 deductible. We have better than minimum coverage. I first started driving when I was 20 (I'm 28 now) and my insurance was $229/month! I'm so glad it's gone down so much.
  5. D'oh! I have the 2 year old rear facing in a true fit now. I like it more than the boulevard, so that went into my dh's car. It does fit newborns really well if you want something that stays in the car. It comes with infant padding that hugs newborns nicely and the headrest detaches while rear facing until the baby is 22 pounds, so you can achieve a 45 degree recline and still be able to use the seat in front of it. It also has a very tall shell and forward faces to 65 pounds. I love it more than any britax I've owned and I've had a companion, marathon, boulevard, husky, regent, & parkway!
  6. Marathons don't fit newborns very well. The lowest harness slot is 10" and a newborn needs to have the harness below his/her shoulders and very few babies are that long at birth. Britax used to allow newborns to be up to 1" under, but they have rescinded that recommendation. My son didn't fit into his marathon and boulevard until he was 4 months old. I had a britax companion and a graco safeseat for my 2 year old. Britax no longer makes the companion, and it was way expensive for a 22 pound weight limit. I would buy a chicco keyfit or a graco safeseat if I were in the market again right now. Both seats go to 30 pounds and have nice tall shells. Both are very easy installs. The graco safeseat has a lot more cover choices compared to the chicco, so that may sway you one way or the other.
  7. Cool. I got the kiddo out of bed to see. Thanks for sharing the link.
  8. You don't act middle-aged, whatever that means.:tongue_smilie: Signed, Your-still-in-the-20's-friend:D
  9. We really like Sid here. He's fun and the kids learn something new during each episode.
  10. I used a nursing tank and a regular top. It covers belly, back and the books. My baby hated having his head covered after 6 weeks and would pull it off or kick at it.
  11. I agree. Not to mention information changes rapidly and encyclopedias can be out of date within a few years. I also live in a small home and don't have space, so that affects my thought process.
  12. My kids take Rainbow Light Multi-Stars and Nordic Naturals Children's DHA.
  13. Family restroom in an emergency. They are usually self contained. However, despite having really heavy periods that would have me home bound with regular tampons or pads, I only have to change maybe 3-4 times a day on my heaviest days and I schedule it so that I'm home when I need to be. On my normal days I only have to dump twice, once when I wake up and again before bed.
  14. Me too. It's comfortable. So much so that I forget that I have it in sometimes.
  15. I did both FLL and WWE together. I scheduled FLL for m/w/f and I did days 1&2 of WWE on tues. and 3&4 on thurs. So 3 days of FLL per week took us through the year.
  16. I wore out my Tracy Chapman tape when I was a kid. Fast Car is my favorite.
  17. I bake it too. It doesn't splatter and shrink. It's perfect every time. I bake at 375* for 10 minutes, flip and do another 2-3. Now I'm hungry for breakfast.
  18. That is how my dd is. She won't take them off for anything because she can't see well without them. He Rx is +6.75, so she's been awesome about keeping them on from the beginning.
  19. My dd wore glasses starting at 22 months. She's only had the regular sort. Only one pair has been broken in the past 5 years.
  20. I know it isn't specifically what you're asking about, but during my research for a similar solution I found something cheaper and just as effective. I purchased a kaboost for my 7 year old. She was reaching up to write and her posture was off, but she was too big for a booster. I really like the kaboost. It stays on even if the chair it is on is dragged around. It can hold up to 300 pounds and doesn't cause the chair to tip at all. I like that it was cheap and could be used with our exsisting furniture. I checked out the stokke and really like the idea of it, but couldn't stomach the price. The only thing it wouldn't help is leg support. My dd uses the cross bar of the chair as a foot rest. Here is a picture of her using the kaboost. Unfortunately, you can't see it in the picture but you can see that she's at a better position for writing.
  21. I've used both HO and SOTW+AG for the ancients and I really wish I had just started with the AG. HO is interesting because it rearranges the order of the chapters to fit in a more logical sequence. There is a to do list and recommended extra reading lists. I like the additional activities and coloring pages included in the AG. I can print off an extra coloring page for my 2½ yo and let him scribble along. The activities really bring the reading alive for my 7 yo. HO is a nice, well laid out program. It just wasn't what I was looking for. I think it would be perfect for our second and third time around as she won't really be into coloring as much.
